    3) Durablity - Its a Honda !!
    4) Looks - Hornet is the indisputably better looking bike. A beefy machine enjoys great road presence.
    5) Handling - Gixxer trumps here. Hornet is not clumsy either but certainly gixxer is leader here.

If you have company, choose Hornet which has good pillion.
If you are a big built guy. Gixxer will be your last option.

    Happy Biking !
Will be booking one soon, Probably Sports Red color

What is cost of seat cover? Honda dealer nearby my place doesn't have seat covers yet.
Any recommendation, I can buy online!

          Welcome to xbhp mate.
1.gixxer is better than hornet in low end.
2.mileage will be more or less same for both bikes.
          3.depends on maintenance
4.hornet for its sheer size , gixxer for its curves.
5.almost on same level but gixxer edges past hornet.
Pickup is not much of an issue if you keep it above 4k rpm
Thank you mate for your earnest reply! And can you tell me some online source from where I can buy the Hornet accessories since the showroom guys seemingly don't have any of the accesories in place!!

                Guys,
After a gap of approx 10 days, today I went for a ride on my Honda Hornet 160CBS.
Today I noticed that below the handle bar, near the front fork suspension area.... there is a little bit of rust developed...
It was in the rain for like past one week but it was covered with a protective cover...

Anyone else notice similar things ?
Is there any solution to prevent it from rusting ?

Mine is rusting everywhere too. I plan to take the bike apart and paint the frame.

I have purchased this seat from a local seat/cushion dealer.
Don't remember exactly, but I bought it for around 300-400 Rs.
It is a perfect fit with some extra cushion.

And I bought those handlebar grips via ebay.

Well then it seems that Honda uses cheap paint primer for coating ....
Because my bike is just 40 days old ...
                        And it started rusting ...

Within a week I took the delivery of bike, saw rust near rear foot rest and on front fork area.. Took to showroom and asked the technician there about this. He took little black paint on his finger tip and applied through the rest spots. Just sharing my experience..

Any way to remove scratch from the plastic panel covering petrol tank.?

You can use some wax polish. The SVC did it for me. Try with yours.
