Hope there is no shortcuts.. I used to lube the chain once in three days when it was heavily raining here in Bangalore.. From last week I did it only once(less rain).

Other than adjusting it little up or down is there any way to increase the power of light(I mean it's too dim). I'm also looking forward to fit two small head lights like the one on new Tiger XC. Any one please help with the rate and availability in Bangalore.

I had it adjusted little higher for distant throw but then dipper also got focused far. So had to reset to normal.

It didn't help. Headlight is not centrally focused. It's in Y shape.

No.. i rode 113 kmph before first service itself
After first service mileage drop is seen. But here if you are riding in extreme city condition like heavy traffic mileage will be surely less. Add to that the short first and second you need to keep shifting this makes situations worse.

My bike is giving 46 kmpl in normal city conditions. Never tested in extreme...

You can best consult the SVC first bro

And Few pics for you !

So far i haven't reached over 4 rpm, Ride this bike is super fun. I loved it. And done around 315 Km so far.

            But there is a problem:

I'm hearing a tick tick kind of sound at the rear tyre and chain also got loosen it was making sound.

I'm clearly able to listen the sound(chain as well as rear tyre) even when i'm riding with helmet.

But for 315Km in week chain slackness seems to be abnormal.

Do i have to take to service center to make it fix ?

What could be the wrong it's just new one.

Yeah rusting seems common to these bikes.

I've got my bike before week ago as it is monsoon season it's been raining from the day of the delivery to till date in hyderabad. i can visibly see the rusting in the centerstand and foot resting and under seat cover. I saw this thing in delivery day itself they showed me the 3 to 4 bikes all of them having rusting. but somehow they managed with some kind of black paint.

            ----consecutive posts auto-merged-----

At how many k.m your chain got slackness?
            Hi.
            Congrats for your bike
Tick tick sound is normal after rides

Chain gets loose easily... check every 500 kms

Depends upon which light you are opting to.

Type 1: Halogen Bulb. Better and brighter bulbs are available than the stock (Phoenix/Life) ones. This wouldn't affect the warranty too.

Type 2: HID/LED bulbs or projectors. If you have this in your mind, hid is the best in case of brightness. Led can not match hid's brightness. A 35w hid can produce brightness which is equivalent to 130w rally bulb. But you have to choose the right kit. And yes. Wiring kit warranty will void.

Tick-Tick Sound: Silencer metal is contracting after heat while getting cooled. It's normal
Chain sound: If too much noise,You can get chain tightened at service center.

Bro, you got same color with CBS, same helmet and we are same city. Please read the number plate before unlocking the bike

Still i didn't get number plate bro . So i can recognize which is mine .

And it's not metal contracting bro. It comes from sprocket that too when i was riding, i guess it is happening due to loosen chain.

As i mentioned earlier i tried to with center stand and gave throttle chain as well as sprocket area producing the noise.

                  Have any idea bro ?

                      2. It is advisable to run the bike not harshly during first few hundred kilometers (Let say 40-60) with occasion raving. If you are going for trip I suggest to go after 1st service. Any issue will be addressed in service.

                      Thanks for your reply,

I got my Orange Hornet CBS version on 2/7/2016, completed 61kms till now. I wanted to go for red color but it was not available, they got only 2 cbs versions available in stock(Black & orange).

                      Few thing i noticed are

                      1. Some noise is coming from chain as well as rear disc.(I hope it will not come after few more kms)
                      2. Rear wheel is not smooth, i tried rotating it with hand but it is very jam.(Should i get in touch with service center?)
                      3. When the engine is off headlight does not works only pilot lamps are working.(Is this normal?)
                      4. First service date giving is 16/7/2016(15 days) or 500kms.(I think its too early)

The rear wheel will get free upon use. This is due to the disc pads being new.

The headlamps will not work if the engine is off. This is by design due to the Ac electrical system.

First service you have to give between 15-30 days and 500-1000 kms. That is the recommended period. I gave mine at 28 days and 850 kms.

Guys how to protect the bike from this ?

I used to keep the disc brake lock here when not in use that's why the paint is damaged.

Also i find it difficult to get neutral gear when the engine is running, when the engine is idle it is not an issue.

If the noise is too much then visit the svc.
The chain will get loose in the initial kilometers. I suggest you to get the chain tightened once before the first service. In the first service they will themself clean and lube the chain after that the noise shall vanish.

Or its good enough to hold for long years
I had once checked the red color bike in January which was used for test rides in a showroom near my place. Same bike i had taken for test ride in June. The color of the bike completely faded and was almost orange with no shine. The test ride vehicles are maintained badly and kept in sun and rain so obviously they will fade. Better maintenance of the bike including regular cleaning/washing and waxing/Teflon will increase the life of the color. I personally went for a Blue color bike as the fading will appear minimum on it.

I also faced this issue earlier when my bike was under 150 KMs. Now it is run for around 350 KMs and gear shifting is smooth enough. When bike is moving it will automatically skip neutral in both up and down shift. Though i am still not able to shift up to neutral from 1st gear when engine is on and bike is stopped, shifting down to neutral from 2nd is easy or else just stop the engine and then upshift from 1st gear to neutral. I feel this setup is good in traffic negotiations unless you concentrate specifically on getting to neutral while moving.
