How much should the chain slack be when bike's on centre stand and free of rider load?

Today, I was ridin' on a highway. A stretch of bare and clear road lay ahead of me. I started throttling gradually. When I reached 105 on the speedometer, I realised that I couldn't throttle anymore. I had reached the limit of my accelerator. A strange fact then dawned on me. Just a 105 on full throttle? 😮
Did I break my bike? 😨😫
Or is it that it would've crept to maybe, just maybe a 120 if I had kept at it? 🙄

It depends on lots of factors.
What's your weight, is chain slack proper, does engine have enough oil, how was road incline or decline.

Try 4th gear next time. I had gone till 116

My previous quote on chain slack and this one are not related. Totally different situations. But anyways, my bike hasn't even done a 1000, should I be checking on the slackness now? The thought didn't pester me much.
I weigh 63 kg approx(which is underweight for my height). As for the road inclination, it was level. Maybe it was the drag...? I was wearing a light backpack too.
How much throttle were you giving?

As engine is still to cross 1000, it's better if you don't drag bike this hard. After 2nd service and 2500+ km, try this again. Engine will get very free.

If you want, you can try gradually going till 110 kmph on 5th. Take 2-3 min to reach that speed, and see if it catches up. As your engine is relatively new, put 5th gear on 40-50 and try for top speed. You may lean or not, won't affect much unless wind is against you.. 😀 enjoy

There was something in the manual about not accelerating hard for the first *500* kms, since I crossed that mark, I was tempted to see if I got atleast the promised top speed of 110kmph.
By the way, that's exactly what I did, shift to 5th gear at 4.5k rpm at tried raising the speed gradually. And then at some point, I hit full throttle(unknowingly, as I was gradually opening up the throttle)....well you know the rest of the story.

I found a nail in my bike's rear Tyre. didnt plucked it out and dont know how long the nail is. I have no problem in ride or i dont see abnormal deflation. Ia m worried about this. How to determine that the tyre is punctured ? Please help me.

Might be very small puncture. Once in my Hunk there was very big screw, but loss in tyre pressure was noticeable only after 3-4 days. I rode more then 2 weeks with it.
Better get the nail removed and puncture repaired, should not take more than 100 bucks.

Thanks Anoop, I think i should visit service center today. Have to replace air filter also. Its been 4500+ kms, no air filter changed yet.

Hello guys, I own a red hornet. It's CBS version. I wanted to ask if I should go for optional graphics after owing the bike for 2 months? Will it look better?

                        1. Why ?
                        2. It depends on personal taste, you can go full wraps / repaints/matte finish .

This question is better answered by you, however other members may pour in their opinions.

Looks are subjective. I liked the graphics Honda gave the unicorn. Go ahead if you like the graphics, but imo the flame graphics look horrible.

Guys, What is the standard interval to change air filter ? Thanks in advance.

10k intervals. But also check factors such as dusty conditions, etc

The manual usually says around 15k to 16k kms I think.
10-12k would be ideal for the viscous one if you'd ask me

                                Cheers
