    Yes, exactly.
But a long time back, bike started in kick when I didn't felt any compression .
How big the problem is? and How to resolve it?

Ya. If kick goes freely then it is indication of less compression.
But also it depends on piston position. If kick is initially not at compression stroke of piston then also kick will feel free.
He has to try few times more and then if he feels free kick every time then it loss of compression problem.
What exactly happened in your engine for loss of compression?. Piston rings or valves?
      Please let us know

I was able to start with switch in few try. I don't have knowledge, what may have caused the issue.

It'll mostly be the sticky valve problem. In a new engine chances of ring damage are slim.

My bike never started in a single kick. It always starts in the second or third kick. I never twist my accelerator when i kick.

Hey guys this is my first post on xBhp. I will probably book my CB Hornet CBS version red colour this evening and get it delivered on Saturday. I've read each page of this thread (yeah, imagine the amount of time on my hands ) and there are some queries for you Hornetians.

              1. There seems to be a general complaint of the chain getting dirty and requires cleaning and lubing quite often. Is it normal?

              2. Is the engine refinement up to the level expected of a Honda engine?

              3. Is the low end performance adequate?

              4. How would you rate your CB Hornet on a scale of 10?

              Thanks in advance.

Well here is my answers to your questions...

                1. That is normal for any bike with open chain.

                2. I've been using Honda for a long time now and I feel the engine is perfect in terms of refinement.

                3. Low end performance is awesome, the torque is just great. I drive a lot in the lower gears and it performs really well.

                4. I would rate mine at a 9. I reduced 1 point as I felt the need for better switch gears.

I guess, second or third is fine when you are starting in morning specially with no choke. We should not twist accelerator.

                  1. Getting chain dirty is outside factor, Not a big thing. Regular cleaning after 1 month is fine.
                  2. Yes, Engine is refined and getting smother
                  3. Not that issue, You just need to shift on little higher RPM 3.5k-4k.
                  4. 9+ easily.

                        Congratulations.

Open chains get dirty faster but it's normal
Hornet's low end kicks in from 3000 rpm and it's more of torque than horses. Very much adequate for navigating traffic.
Hornet has 10:1 compression ratio. Its more performance type without compromise on mileage. It will be little rough in a particular rev band
                        I would rate it 8.5 on 10

                        -1 because no kill switch
-0.5 because way too linear power delivery.

Nevertheless i love my black beast.
                        Ride safe bro.
                        Congratulations again.

Switchgear is the biggest grouse I have with this otherwise amazing bike. Why, Honda? Why?

What you're hearing most probably are tappets, or in technical words - valves.
Open your ownership manual, check the values for valve clearances. There will be values in millimeters for input and exhaust valve clearances.
Now, buy yourself a feeler gauge online and head to any friendly mechanic.

P.S - you perform valve clearance adjustment on a cold engine. So, it must be kept idle for 3 to 4 hours minimum.
I registered a complaint on the same [via honda2wheeler toll free no.], The following day i was asked to leave my vehicle in the service center for inspection, they cleaned the carburettor and asked me to ride for a few days, after a week i got the same issue, when i gave a call to the service center, they said they've already reported the same to honda and it says there is some manufacturing fault with the fuel pump and it will be replaced in a week or so.. waiting for it fingers crossed.

                            Thanks All for your support.

That's really good support from Honda! Is it all free of charge?

It happens even after i rode the bike for 30 kms and after some 2 hrs when i start same problem. In the morning, i open the choke for some 10 secs and then i try. But again, it always start at 2nd or 3rd kick. Is it something i have to say to SVC and check it?
