Re: Honda CB Hornet 160R Owners Experiences
Completed 10.5 months and 11,900 Km. I never face issues you mentioned. 20-25 Kicks in every morning .... unbelievable..... what happened to your electric starter .I am planning for 12000 Km's service tomorrow .Originally posted by ZZR1 View PostI am facing exactly the same problem as pointed out by you, and many others on this forum. I got my vehicle on 8th Oct 2016 and the problems begin right from the day i got the vehicle. I have done around 400 kms till date.
Some of the problems faced by me are :
1. Bike takes atleast 20-25 kicks under a cold start. Using the choke to start the vehicle has become a habit.
2. Vehicle tends to heat up in the Bangalore traffic more so when it is on the first gear and is ridden at crawling speeds of 8-10 kms. Heat generated is as much as on the KTM 390.
3. Horrible vibrations at 4000 rpm even on the 5th gear (i have not exceeded this engine speed since its in run in).
4. A mettallic 'claang claang' sound is heard, which the mechanic told me was an issue with the balancer.
I had raised a complaint with Honda on their site, and the service center seemed to have done some make shift arrangement. The problems seems to have arisen again.
The first service is due on 7th October 2016. Hope the issues are sorted out.
My question to those who have used the vehicle extensively (say 6000-10000kms) : How was the vehicle in the beginning and what is the degree of improvement after the vehicle has set in?

Re: Honda CB Hornet 160R Owners Experiences
I am also using for 10 months now. No serious issue. I had 3-4 kick issue pre-second service. I don't use kick now but when ever randomly I use kick, it get started in one kick. Yes, there is very little vibration on certain RPM ~5.5K. But this too when I gently put my feet over break to feel vibration.Originally posted by Remesh Augustine View PostCompleted 10.5 months and 11,900 Km. Got my bike home from Honda service centre after 4 days... They have changed more engine parts to resolve my problem of over heating , engine sound and vibs thats exactly between 4-4.5k rpm in 1-2-3 gear . So far I feel issue is 80℅ resolved but need to take a long ride in afternoon to check how it reacts . I have attached the job sheet. Mine is a special edition orangeOriginally posted by Ravii View PostLet's see then how this issue will be solved...

Re: Honda CB Hornet 160R Owners Experiences
I checked with the mechanic if I need to go through the break in again. He said no just don't redline it . I already did a 45km ride on it yesterday mostly at 40-50 but just to check if things are fine I touched 90 7-8k rpm once for a min or so max . Hope that doesn't screw things upOriginally posted by Shashank K R View PostAbhik1 they have replaced the cylinder piston kit, don't go rough on it, you've to do the break in again.
