Let's see how many kms I can cover until my next service. I may cover 4k kms till march 2017. The oil should hold good till then.

Where did you get this foot rest. It's looking good. Please tell me the spare parts shop address asap.
FZ Ladies footrest can be fitted to our hornet. I have kept it and its serving good.

Hi I recommend to take a test ride since it could be a bit tricky for 5.3 IMO. Even I recommend to check the headlight fall or throw at night to understand what to be expected when you get one.
            slow down.

Which chain lube is better for this bike? Motul or 3M?

Both are good. I didn't find much of a difference between them. Motul is a little sticky though.

Motul isn't easily available, but 3M you can get everywhere in Mumbai

Found these marks on my rear tyre.

Should I do something about it?

It looks punctured. Get it repaired.
How did it happen though? Did you ride on rough road

There is no rule regarding speed and rpm mentioned anywhere. I personally kept it below 4000 rpm till 500kms. After that rev the engine up. It is extremely essential that you do this. The only rule for breaking in is that don't maintain a constant engine rpm.

Giving my two cents after owning multiple motorcycle of different brands. My hornet has had no impact on fuel economy or performance

Yes, it has stopped for me. I only use my hornet in the rain so that my other bikes don't get messed up. I wash it after every thundershower ride to clean the gunk near the chain and swingarm. Other than the initial issues, absolutely nothing has happened.

No signs of air leakage till now.
Sometimes have to ride on rough roads

                              Hello Guys,

I have completed 290km on my Hornet and also completed its first servicing (I was out of station thats why i had to get it serviced with less kms covered). I will be travelling approx 350kms tomorrow, it will be on a highway. I need guidance on how to ride as its still in break-in period. Till now i have not crossed above 4k rpm.
I read "Avoid riding at one constant engine speed, whether fast or slow, for a long period of time" , here long period refers to how many kms?

                              Thanks

                                Just check tyre pressure once
                                Keep it 25 25
