Re: Honda CB Hornet 160R Owners Experiences
In that case, get the front brake pads checked. They may have worn out too much already to give a proper feedback. If the pads are changed, do insist on getting the brake lines bled with DOT 4 brake fluid.Originally posted by motobiker View PostGot a $5 head? Get a $5 helmet.

Re: Honda CB Hornet 160R Owners Experiences
Engine is much smoother than earlier. Mileage is around 50-52 Kmpl. Expected life of tyres and chain will be around 16000-18000 km.There was no reduction in engine oil quantity in every 6000 km oil change. There is no electrical issue on additional Roots"Vibromini"horns.Power of Headlight and switch gear quality is not up to mark as expected from a Rs 1,00,000 bike.Originally posted by vaRider View PostHey Buddy

Yes...you are right. Hornet's stock tyres are suited for good tarmac roads.Originally posted by Khemchand Sure View Postbike skids off road...i have observed this grip is good but only on good tarmac, the tyre is not good for off roadLast edited by Remesh Augustine; 11-17-2016, 04:34 PM.

I think its on the other side(left side) of the bike. This(right) side has the idle speed adjustment screw, the one facing downwards.Originally posted by Abhik1 View PostHey friends any idea about how we tune the carb rich or lean in Hornet ? So I would need to open the battery side cover ?? Man this thing should have been on this side . Need to look at other side but by looks doesn't look like I'll have access from other side .Originally posted by baymax View PostI think its on the other side(left side) of the bike. I have a std variant and when I spoke to ASC mechanic he told rear disc is hard to maintain and getting problem . Not sure if he told me this coz I own a std variant. I find my braking adequate.Originally posted by Divya Sharan View PostIn that case, get the front brake pads checked. They may have worn out too much already to give a proper feedback. But,front brakes are working efficiently, the rear disc brakes are not giving proper feedback.Originally posted by Divya Sharan View PostIn that case, get the front brake pads checked. Service center personal says don't do anything it works on hydraulic pressure,if air gets into it it will messed up the things,so I have working it as they are. But, now after ineffective rear disc brake I feel that why. I have invested 5k more in it...

Fuel screw is just side of idle adjuster. See unicorn carburetor. Check with the local mechanic. I am sure this is the one.Originally posted by Abhik1 View PostHey friends any idea about how we tune the carb rich or lean in Hornet ? Check this post from psr from the Karizma thread.
I think similar should be the case with Hornet too.

Re: Honda CB Hornet 160R Owners Experiences
Back from a short 380kms ride and here are my observations
1. Bike feels smooth at 80-85 speeds on shell ax7 when compared to the 10-30 Honda mineral oil
2. Braking is excellent, almost crashed a pig at 70ish speeds, thanks to the brakes
3. Bike takes its own time to reach 80kmph, specially from 60-80kmph
4. Overtaking is a big letdown on a 2 lane highway with moderate traffic
5. And I only got 37kmpl, mileage problem is there right from the beginning
Should get the carb tuned in near futureYamaha fzs (2009-2012)||Honda unicorn(2012-2013)|| Hero karizma R (2013 - 2016)||Honda CBR 250R(2016)||Honda Hornet(2016-Present)

How much on your odo
As I observed 60-80 is the power band. 95 onwards bike takes time to accelerate
Mileage should be 45ish
Check properly how you calculatedRide hard, Ride safe! :D

Check properly how you calculated
And yes I've calculated reserve to reserve basis which I usually do while calculating the FE
And 60-80speed,coming from ZMA and CBR may be I need to get used to it
Mileage was 38 on my previous trip
