Re: Honda CB Hornet 160R Owners Experiences
I feel that the bike shows reluctance in motion during rains. Has anybody else experienced it?

Sounds like they've found another solution to your problems. Brand you as the problem and not return the bike. If only you had the bike can you approach them with complaints.....sounds so sinister man, you ought to do something before it's too late....

What is the reason of delay in repair?Originally posted by KnoXxX View Poststill havent received my bike from showroom after I claimed for insurance. almost a month now. facing a lot of problems.
When I asked service center about changing to different engine oil other thank Honda mineral / synthetic , One of mechanic pointed out it will void the warranty. Let say if I am going to use Motul 7100.
Is it true?
How good Motul 7100 over Honda CBR 250 synthetic oil?
Honda CBR 250 synthetic is around 600/-.------------------

Yes it's true, as absurd as it may sound, even if the oil is of the same grade. You need to build a rapport with the SVC to get this done.Originally posted by anoopkumar0 View Postchanging to different engine oil other thank Honda mineral / synthetic , One of mechanic pointed out it will void the warranty. Re: Honda CB Hornet 160R Owners Experiences
The tank on the right side is damaged due to the fall, and the front midguard is cracked, headlamp damaged too, so they have ordered for the parts which still is in transit. Damage is only on the right side.Originally posted by anoopkumar0 View PostWhat is the reason of delay in repair?

Re: Honda CB Hornet 160R Owners Experiences
I remember distinctly someone posting that he smelt burning oil every time he came to a stop after a ride. I think I know the source of the problem. And it's happening to me too. I noticed this slightly darker patch in contrast on the right side of the engine crankcase near the dipstick today. I unscrewed the dipstick and took it out to check the oil level. Its entirety was drenched in oil. Is this normal or what? At this point I wouldn't be surprised if it was cuz I own the cb hornet from the "honda is Honda" and "Honda has the best engines in the market" and all; so I've come to understand that abnormality is nothing out of place with this cheap made-for-Asia knock-off of the hornet series of the "great" Honda

Re: Honda CB Hornet 160R Owners Experiences
My carburetor spring was rusted that's why it couldn't push above 95 easily... Replaced for 100₹... This is really bad rusting issue in hornet...
AFR was okay. Didn't adjust it..
Will try top speed run soon..Ride hard, Ride safe! :D

Re: Honda CB Hornet 160R Owners Experiences
Even I have same problem. So I went to ASC and got carburetor checked, thoroughly cleaned with rockel and pressurized air. Found that spring inside it was rusted. Had to replace it for 100 ₹. Hornet's part was unavailable, so fixed Unicorn's. Both parts are exactly same, so no issue.Originally posted by Ravii View PostGo to the asc for the problem...there is something wrong with the carburetor setting...
Checked Carburetor for correct AFR, checked air filter, nothing wrong.
Also cleaned up Oil strainer, it had very minute dust, but nothing like engine's sludge. Will take it for ride soon..

Re: Honda CB Hornet 160R Owners Experiences
HI Guys
Clocked 1000 KMS on odo
Completed first service at 900Kms. one thing i would request everyone is to make sure you get OIL CHANGE done in your Presence. i have given my bike for First service and was waiting at the ASC. Service Area was Openly visible from Waiting Hall and i would look at Technician doing checks and all. after washing and all they have given me Invoice which has OIL Change (which they did not Do). i called up Manager and asked about the same, the Technician then changed the oil.
this happend in JSP Honda Chintal Hyderabad
