At times when I try accelerating fast it feels like no fuel for 2-3sec and then it slowly picks up . This is something I have noticed post I got my bike back from ASC . What you guys think ?
Have faced this situation long ago for a particular ride only. But it became normal after that ride.

Re: Honda CB Hornet 160R Owners Experiences
Completed 2nd service last week. First service was done after 404 Kms and second service after 4045 Kms. Didnt change to any synthetic oil and never faced any issues with the stock honda oil. After second service faced a bit of oil leak issue. Took to ASC today and they said neutral switch is bad and need to be replaced which will cost 40-50 Rs. Later they said the old one is fixed and they didnt charge me anything. Hope now that I dont have to visit ASC again till 3rd service. Have to test to Mileage and top speed post 2nd service and will update later.

Re: Honda CB Hornet 160R Owners Experiences
Hi... I'm new to xbhp. I couldn't go through the entire thread. I'm planning to buy a Honda Hornet 160r but I've heard some disconcerting things like after some time the engine of the bike starts sounding weird like an auto richshaw ( tuk tuk tuk )... is this a common problem in this bike ? Or does it happen because of improper break in ?

This engine is stretched so it makes some noise when pushed above 75. If you see Unicorn the engine runs much smoother.Originally posted by Sush726 View PostHi... I'm new to xbhp. Anyways don't worry about the noise. As far as I've ridden hornet, no issues about engine performance.Ride hard, Ride safe! :D

Re: Honda CB Hornet 160R Owners Experiences
Hi All, This is my first post on xbhp, I got delivery of my Hornet CBS SE Orange two weeks back, on first ride to my home I observed some weird noise coming from rear tyre assembly(not from disk break). Next day I visited to showroom and asked for check , after multiple runs they accepted that some part is faulty and needs to be replaced. I denied any repair/replacement job on a day old bike and asked for refund. Lucky I got the cheque yesterday.
Please suggest should I go for Hornet again from next batch or what other options I have in market?

Re: Honda CB Hornet 160R Owners Experiences
The bike is very gud but the service centre guys are not trained properly for servicing this bike. My bike was running fine before 1st service (at 440 Kms) but after service it was stopping frequently and was feeling rough. I figured out that the service centre guys has made the idle rpm to 600-800 and it was giving problem. I increased it to 1000 and then no issues till second service (at 4405 Kms). Now the bike engine sound has changed a bit. When i take it above 4500 rpm it sounds like a box with a stone is being shaked and it takes time to cross 80 whereas i used to easly cross 80 earlier. What do you think the problem is. Did the ASC guys played with the afr ?

Yes, that's probably the case.. get it checked from ASC. Even I had same issues. Before 2nd service bike would easily cross 95, but after that it was just like your case.Originally posted by mkkvs View PostThe bike is very gud but the service centre guys are not trained properly for servicing this bike. This bike should have more BHP with lesser torque. Torque can be felt at 90+ as well. It's good for Highway rides though.Ride hard, Ride safe! :D

Re: Honda CB Hornet 160R Owners Experiences
If you had this experience then better stay away from Hornet. Look at other bikes such as Gixxer FI, Apache 200, etc.Originally posted by Apreded View PostHi All, This is my first post on xbhp, I got delivery of my Hornet CBS SE Orange two weeks back, on first ride to my home I observed some weird noise coming from rear tyre assembly(not from disk break). Given a chance I would certainly not buy Hornet again...
Most pathetic things are poor headlight throw and engine noise above 80.
Rest things are goodRide hard, Ride safe! :D

Tire balancing weight. These can be seen in car tires as well. Check the below wiki link for more info.Originally posted by mkkvs View PostWhat is this on my rear wheel?

Wow, I remember that post. Where did you dig that up? Thanks anyways

Guys, anyone, please tell me which size allen key I need to open up the side panel. I just found the obscure lucky screw-the golden AFR screw. I need to mess with it! Please reply as soon as possible!

I think it is okay to have it in new bike too. Other Hornet owners can comment if they have it in their bikes?Originally posted by mkkvs View Postthanks. is this also on new bikes because a guy at service center pointed to me that this is done after wheel alignment. This is there on my bike from day 1.
My Hunk and Karizma (both were pre-owned bikes) both had it when I got them.
