And also when now i am just goin to market almost 15-20kms of run. I again try to stress and extend speed limits like :-
    1]17kmph @ 1st gear(lot of noise and vibes).

    2] 30kmph @ 2nd gear (noise and vibes started from 26kmph).

3] 50kmph @ 3rd gear (noise was ther) And when i came home now my engine was as hot as lava my dad said what you did and how you ride it?

so is it a bad sign? I dont want my bike to be damage It was too hot. I am trying all things to get my bike smoother but dont know what am lacking.

"" I think i must ride it as a short end gearing rather than stressing it inorder to get top end gearing"".
It's summer and Honda's stock mineral oil is thin and not suited for Summers.

Also your bike has run quite a lot with that oil. Your oil is most probably old and hence you get that burning smell.

I got my hornet mars orange on 1st March 17 and gave it to first service after 868km. After the first service engine started heating after a drive of 20kms, i never felt this before the first service. Also i am hearing the screeching noise of my rear disc while braking at lower speeds (<20kmph). I going to take the bike to service center again tomorrow so what will they probably do ?
Flush the rear disc with water and then observe the sound will disappear, this happens due to polish sprayed wrongly on disc.
If still the issue is present, there is a clip kind of thing that holds both the brake pads together , get this inspected by SVC . if this is damaged then the pads are not aligned and sounds screeching.

            In 1.2 years -
            1. Regular service.
            2. Bike wash in 3-4 weeks.
            3. Chain clean and lube in 800km. As per dirt condition. Chain clean and lube is mandatory for smooth ride and chain protection.

This happens in rainy season or some dirt. But goes aways after few days.
            Clean with cotton cloth.

Suggest best chain lube spray and online site as well (Hornet 160r).

              Thank you.

Anybody else having the engine overheating issue after the first service or is it just me?

My odo reading is 1042 kms so can I change the engine oil to some other brand. If yes, then suggest some other engine oil for Hornet 160r which eliminates the heating.

Ask ASC to to change to Honda Throttle. Bus your ODO is only 1K. But wait for couple of thousand Kms to let the bike settle more.

Do it yourself. You should also have a spare drain plug gasket before changing oil, you may need it if the old gasket does not seem to be in good condition. Make sure that no dirt/sand particle enters engine crankcase. I have been changing oil myself since my RX 100 & then my Unicorn days, it is very easy and more importantly your bike will last long, really long as in my case.

Engine oil change, drive chain cleaning, lubrication, slack adjustment, air filter replacement, proper tyre inflation & regular cleaning. All are done by myself.

Hello all,I am getting knocking sound (ki-kit sound) from my engine b/w 2.5k - 3k rpm range,
Engine hot or cold and in every gear and neutral.
In some bikes it is low and in some bikes it is completely not there.
Mine is having it somewhat loud and sharp. It's 5200 km on the odo.
Have shown to the ASC , they are unable to identify the part from where the sound is coming..But it is from cylinder kit and cylinder head area.
They opened up everything ,the cylinder kit and head and found everything right.
Can anyone help me to solve the problem
                        In seek of Urgent help...

Completed first service today. I still have the following problems:
                              1. Multiple gears downshift issue
                              2. False neutral from 2->1 and 1->2
                              3. Engine heating.

Should I go back to the service centre and demand for a proper fix? I see these issues only after driving the bike for about 20-30min. Any suggestions as to what I need to tell them?

All of the issues are normal..
Engine needs some 4000-5000 km in the odo to get fully refined and all such problems will be gone.
Then it will be delight to ride.

Also ,take proper precautions to not ride harsh, take smoother throttle and gear shifts....and not to bother about the engine problems if you face any of them now like engine sound change after heating , slow rpm downfall in heated engine, gear shifting problem, rear disc noise .

Give the bike engine that much time and you will enjoy the engine brother..

And don't take ur bike to ASC as they will worsen the situations...
It is already best fitted from HONDA itself...

Mine has 5200km on the odo and was worrying about my bike a lot after 1st service and shown to ASC for the solutions and they had just worsen the situation bro.
And now I become familiar to the engine behaviour of the bike...
