Try using gloves, it will reduce vibrations if any.
I never had this numb feeling. Are you holding the handle with ease? Try to keep your hands in relaxed position with sight bent at elbow.

I experienced this in initial phase of owning the bike, after riding 20-25 km used to feel numbness . previously I had never ridden more than 4-5 km continuously that too occasionally. But now I'm totally comfortable, did 400+ km ride in single day. Give some time ....your body should get used to it.

Must be feeling at certain RPM 4k-5K bracket. Wait for 3rd service.
If you have completed break-in period i.e. 1000Km. Occasionally give high raves inlower gear. Like upto 6k in 2nd 3rd grear. Yes, it will scream but smooth out.

Why it still running in Main/On valve setting at a very low fuel level?
            .
Is my bike's reserve not working?

            .
I actually went to showroom for a Unicorn 150/160 because my friends have those, they are getting 50-60km/l.
But after seeing hornet, i changed my mind. Now i regret my decision due to the poor mileage. Barely getting 40 km/l.
            .
But i still loves it due to the size & looks. Its a perfect bike for me (Not in mileage).
Yes, there are complains about reserve knob if it is working or not. But once I have felt out of fuel and have to turn the knob.
Also just looking from tank you can't predict how much fuel left. When last bar will start blinking, try to go for full tank petrol, max you can fill is 10 Ltr (Giving some space for air).
Mileage: Your bike is new, did you properly break-in the the engine. Also wait for 2nd service to get real mileage.

There is roughness in this bracket 4-5K rpm. This will get smooth. As I said, rev hight occasionally. It help to clear out engine.

Hornet will also give similar mileage if engine is tuned properly and ridden in a sensible manner. My Hornet gave me 53 kmpl+ mileage in mixed traffic conditions(city(about 70%) and highway). I did not have to tune though, all are factory settings. Your fuel screw position may need resetting. Also check the tyre pressure. If the air filter is very dirty it should be replaced.

I didn't changed settings. Just done first service. They changed settings. Now its some what better.. But not exceeding 45 km/hr. Before 1st service it was 35-40.
                      .
It's okay for me. But my friend is getting 55 km/l. That's made me think something is wrong in my bike.

How did you arrive at this figure? Try full-to-full for best precision. I'm yet to have the first servicing done, but I'm getting a mileage of 46.
Another point for your consideration is, the gears are shorter on Hornet than previous generations of Unicorns. Not sure if its identical to U160.
However, getting acclimatized is the best way forward. You can also change the engine oil yourself and feel the difference in multitude of aspects.

This is an ergonomics issue. Ergonomics aren't always driven by the vehicle but yourself too. Also, "numbness" means lack of blood supply, which means some vein is being pressed for too long. You can try changing the angle of your palm onto the handle, wearing gloves, try out some handle grips etc. I would also talk to a doctor so as to know which vein must be getting pressed, leading to this issue.

Hornet and unicorn 160 have similar gearing, and are geared very tall compared to the previous unicorn.

                            Guys..
                            Just going through the thread..
Saw the most of you guys are riding at 4-5K rpm, not even doing 6k occasionally.

Hornet has a different state of tune compared to Uni160.
Hornet produces power and torque higher up in the rev range.
So initial is low compared to Uni160 and gixxer.

To extract the Hornets potential, one needs to rev it 1k-1.5k Rpm more compared to gixxer and uni160.

So occasional 8-9k Rpm would be nice in setting the engine, using full power.
Hornet pulls at this range too where as Uni160 and gixxer tapers off.

                            Cheers.

                              Yup,
After 3rd gear, shift up over 5.5K. You will feel the punch you are looking for

Yes, there is a noticeable increase in pickup at around 6k rpm in 3rd gear.
