It seems so. I feel the same but not certain whether it can reach 49--52 kmph. My bike touched 39 kmph and felt it can go further.

Did your bike touch 49- 52 kmph in 1st gear?

Guys one time I revved bike very hard on 1st and 2nd gear and immediately smell of burning oil started from bike.
Does that happen with you as well when you redline bike?

The time I did this, my bike was had done 35 km in morning.

@ leech .... is it safe to rip it upto the redline??? I have covered 2200 kms & first service is done. The 3rd gear is going upto 45km/h on accelerating gradually... can anyone tell me how to tall the gearings safely? I have not taken it beyond 4.5-5k rpm till now.

Kindly educate me for the same.

Yes, it's safe to give half or full throttle occasionally. I don't own a Hornet, but on my CBR, if I want to rev the bike, I give half throttle, and let the revs build up. Keep an eye on the redline though, don't exceed that. Please ensure you are in an open area without traffic or pedestrians.

Thanks mate!! I will try doing the same & try to limit the same upto 7k rpm for now... till now i have not really enjoyed the real power of hornet since what i feel is when i am changing the gears at 4.5k rpm i am getting the most of power anything below that it just does not feel powerful.

There is no harm in going upto the redline every once in a while, in fact it's good for the engine, the valves get cleared of deposits, and it makes the bike smoother at low revs. That's the reason the company provides a tachometer, so you can know what's the limit of your vehicle.

Something must be wrong with my bike then... Every time I redlined I got burning smell, probably engine oil burning..
I'm using Mineral oil and more than 7000 on odo.

If there is probability of engine oil burning, the inside of the exhaust pipe will be sooty & you will see smoke exiting from the exhaust pipe when revved.

That's good point! But how do I ensure or investigate why oil is burning

Consult a good mechanic or authorised service centre. If engine oil is burning it may be due to worn out piston rings or damaged valve stem seals. Compression test can be done.

On my former unicorn 160 I could reach the following speeds-

                                1 - 51
                                2 - 82
                                3 - 107
                                4 - 118

I assume hornet will be similar.
