Today I drove total 165Km to Ananathgiri Hills. Cruised between 75-80 with pillion.
It was comfortable to drive response was good.
If road is better, then speed would be 85 Kmph.
In good highway condition, I can say Hornet can able to run over 80 all day.
Spotted 4 other Hornets in whole journey

Rest, there would not be any problem if you face any issue with bike.
I have changed my reflector mirror after a month when it developed spots without any issue.
Leg guard is optional accessory, and it costs around 700-800 Rs. In asc.

Definitels its wheel alignment problem. A simple way to check , clean your tyre with water in center stand, let it dry or simply roll it out in mud. Mud should be sticky evenly, if there is wrong alignment you can easily see it by mud present over one side.

yeah I did that before taking bike to Honda ASC. But they (2-3 mechanics independtly) that tyre is all right.
there will be always 1 mm of difference in tyre alignment.. Can't help it, they said..

Now I have to live with it...

Anyways, I am not facing any issues while riding, it is just visible to eyes.. Yesterday, I did lean on bike both left and right on a high speed curvy highway.. no issues at all

One time I leaned so much, that my left foot touched ground for half a second!!! It was awesome!!!
I leaned 3-4 times like that at 65-85 speeds! awesome experience..

I am looking for new bike and discussing in this forum and got some general info at "what bike" section, Hornet160 is in my preference.
Can someone share your experience on rainy days?
How good is to drive hornet during rainy seasons?

Somewhere at Quora I read that the bike performs badly and engine loses its power on rainy weather. Strange to hear....

Does the rear wheel without hugger protect us from mud/water splash?
Should the rider need to do any tricks to successfully(without trashing pillion shirt and lower part of pant)ride with pillion on rainy days?

                    Thank you for your input...👍

                        Yes,
I also read the same but I have different experience.
Hornet is does holds in rainy and muddy roads. Good grip and without splashes.
                        Haven't experienced any power loss.

When I asked service center about changing to different engine oil other thank Honda mineral / synthetic , One of mechanic pointed out it will void the warranty. Let say if I am going to use Motul 7100.
                          Is it true?

How good Motul 7100 over Honda CBR 250 synthetic oil?
Honda CBR 250 synthetic is around 600/-.

"I had very bad experience with Motul 7100, my Hornet vibration and heat levels were increased like anything after pouring this oil. I changed back to HONDA FS after running around 900Kms on 7100. "

Hey guys, Newbie here. Got the HORNET delivered on Friday night. It's the Mars Orange special edition with CBS. I booked the bike just for the muscular look and honda's trust which i got from our Honda Activa usage.

We don't have a garage so i had to keep my bike on open space in front of our house. Hence, the bike was slightly covered with a old torn Activa cover and was kept open to the attack of 'Vardah cyclone' that had toppled Chennai yesterday. I was worried for the whole day and night as my new bike was amidst the storm which kept the wind moving at a speed greater than 150kmph with moderate rainfall. I felt that the old Honda Activa bike cover would not withstand the monster cyclone and was fearing what would happen if some water gets into the parts of the machine which is not supposed to be and what if the wind pushed it on the ground, after all its a brand new two days old bike.

After the devastating cycle left Chennai, today morning, i opened up the cover and kick started my bike with a small fear. But to my surprise the machine roared on the first kick itself and went off after few seconds. With two more kicks, the roaring continued and i kept it idling for few minutes with little throttle as the idling was unstable, then i took a small ride in our locality passing by and through the fallen electric posts and fallen trees.

No issues to complain as i haven't ridden it not more than 50kms as of now. The dealer is yet to give me the manual as he said he hasn't got it from Honda yet (i don't know if he is lying.!).
The dealer has just given me the delivery note, invoice and the insurance. The bike has gone to the RTO but he hasn't given me any paper regarding registration not even a temporary receipt that would show that the vehicle has gone for registration and i was told that he would give me the vehicle number on last Saturday but we lost the communication due to the cyclone. He told me to show the delivery note with the delivery date to the police if they inquire anything regarding no number on plate. I will contact the dealer once everything gets back to normalcy after the cyclone effects. Are all these okay-okay?

                              .
Mostly there is no issue with newly purchased vehicle. Though TR is required. You can be excused for it.

Yeah, the TR. I asked for that but he told the same (to show the delivery note, invoice & insurance to police if they ask for TR) .

I had already downloaded the manual even before getting the bike delivered as i was completely thinking about the bike from the day of booking. Thank you very much bro.

Before getting the hornet, i had read the thread all the way from 1st page to the last.

The advisory is to maintain the speed less than 40/50 kmph during the break in period. As the most of my commuting would be in the highway, i maintain 50 kmph to reach office as early as possible. I have seen some bikers saying "Avoid maintaining constant speed and constant RPM".

Now can anyone please explain me, during break in period how not to maintain constant speed and constant RPM? Do you guys mean i have to keep it varying like accelerate to reach 50 kmph from 30 kmph, then decelerate to 30 kmph from 50 kmph and repeat it all the way in the my 30 km ride to office?

sorry if i sound like a kindergarten kid . I am completely new to riding the manual gear bike, to be honest i am still learning to release the clutch in the first gear without making the engine to shut .
