    Thank you mac4rfree.
There are only 4-5 authorized service centers nearby Thane. Dunno which one of them is good.

we should ensure that the strainer is cleaned at second service
Then you souravvr for useful information.

I would get this done in my 2nd service.

    BTW,
Should the handle assembly be covered in plastic?
Does rain damages bike if no such cover used when running?

Sorry for the delay my friend.... I hope anyway you got the answer from Shashank. In addition to his answer - ther is no fuel symbol which will blink as you see in cars...

As long as you do not cross 4000 rpm, I think it should be OK.

              Hello everyone
I want to ask, where do you put the bike papers(RC etc) in the bike.

There is a very small space underneath the seat and i have to cary a bag most of time for these

I fold the documents and keep them in an envelope. I then fold the envelope into half and then place it under the seat in the slot provided.

[MENTION=82574]Zeit[/MENTION] KnN, Uni, etc are the well known ones. Not sure if they're available for Hornet.

Though it is said that putting an aftermarket filter has no benefit and actually damages the engine (in the long term) by allowing more dust (as told by Xbhp seniors). From what I've read you may need to change the carb jets to a larger size and then maybe you get a small performance benefit.
One thing's for sure, these filters give that roaring sound which makes us feel a performance increase (placebo). Same thing can be done by removing the snorkel (or the thing covering the air filter)[emoji13].

                • How to wash?

                  Hello riders,
Is it good to get bike pressure washed ?
What type of foam/cleaning agent can be used?

And will water damage chain and electrical parts such as headlight assembly?

                  Thanks

It may damage paint on regular usage.get any of car shampoo like sonax , formula 1 etc.it doesn't damage chain and headlight but you should lubricate chain after washing.

Hi everyone..did a reserve to reserve FE check and got 46kmpl in Bangalore traffic. However, it's a hard task to keep the Rev under 4K rpm. [emoji12][emoji12]. And got a puncture within 500kms [emoji30]

Thats good.my Fe has been erratic sometimes it returns 53 kmpl even after riding a bit hard in city traffic, sometimes it returns only 42 kmpl with smooth riding.
Yeah it's very hard to keep it below 4k rpm.engine sound changes and bike just Leaps forward after 5 k rpm
