Guess you were the one who had the 'balancer' changed. I am in a similar situation too. In my earlier posts i had been referring to a 'clang-clang' metallic sound coming from the engine, for which i had complained to Honda and the service center had sent me back on both occasions saying that they have rectified the issue.
Went to the service center to have the chain adjusted last week and was informed that there is a manufacturing defect in the 'balancer shaft' and that they would replace it under warranty. Since they do not have the part with them they have asked me to leave the bike tommorow, for the part to be replaced under warranty.

Any idea where the balancer is located and what effect does it have on the performance of the vehicle. My worry is that if it leads to opening up of the engine/critical part the vehicle will be a mess.
    Infact its my cousin's bike.

Well the fact is when he rides my bike he feels like there is no pic up atall and the same difference can be observed when I ride a gixxer, since gixxer has better initial pickup it made me feel Like having a better handling as well.

But he complements my bike for comfort as he is around 6 ft which makes gixxer look like a small bike for him.

I also had same experience when I rode my friend's Gixxer for small time. It really felt lively..

No doubt gixxer is a fun bike. but we have to live with low ground clearance, nearly non existent pillion and certainly not for big people.

            ,
I am riding more than a year.
You will easily get 50-55 mileage in mixed condition.
Except chain, nothing extra to maintain. In any open chain bike, you have to use regular clean and lube. Otherwise there will be rattling sound and not-so-smooth drive.

Be-Aware, Hornet has short 1st and 2nd gear and low end torque. That means, not suitable for heavy traffic and hill area condition.
Except this, IMHO Hornet is a great bike, looks great. Feels great driving on highway.

They will need to open the top portion of the engine.. Don't worry if you r facing issues with engine noise and vibration .. you don't have a choice. Also the balancer in my case dint help and they changed piston cylinder and other stuffs. Basically I got a new engine and had to again follow the rules for 1k km

Planning to buy new bike. I am confused between Hornet and Pulsar 180? Please suggest which one is better?

Qualitywise & mileagewise Hornet, performancewise Pulsar 180.

After my second service dont know what the ASC guys did but the engine was rough. My local mechanic changed the oil and said the oil went bad (only drive 1000 KMs with the oil).He replaced it with Hero 10W30. He said it is fully synthetic and is used in Hero bikes. I costed me only 280/-. He also did service of the bike and now comparatively my bike is better. Only I am facing some vibration issues which he said will be gone with proper carb tuning. My question is how is hero 10W30 oil. Also please let me know the correct air pressure. The guy filled 25,35(front,rear) and said it is ok as it was driven for some 30 min.

Go for a Gixxer/Gixxer SF, its in the same price range. Suggesting because it has far less issues reported than both the above bikes.

                            Thanks

                              I agree with that too.

Hero oil is not fully synthetic! Its just mineral oil.
AFAIK, no synthetic oils come that cheap.
Hero oil is good for around 1500 kms from my experience so far (in Hunk and Karizma). You can stretch to 2000 kms max, if you want.
Hero oil is manufactured by different manufacturers like Tide water (Veedol), Bharat petroleum etc. of which Tide water is the best. You can check the rear side of the bottle (if you still have it) to confirm the manufacturer.
