That's cool buddy! Where do you mount it? Please send photos of the setup in day time. I've mounted them on leg guard as of now and thinking to move them on to handle bar.

They must be moving up and down as suspension moves, right

No. These seem to have been fitted on triple clamp with triple clamp bolt.

That's cool. Focus will be even better, if you point them down from.

            • Chain Rust and cleaning

              Hi team,

I own a Honda Hornet 160R, recent past I noticed rust on my bike chain. I got nervous as it is a new motorcycle and only one service is done. I took it to Honda service center but they asked for 1000₹ for cleaning the chain. I came home because the price was quite high. I checked few of the YouTube videos and people suggest a lot of things like using petrol or kerosene or diesel mixed with petrol but they mentioned about the side effects of them too. This made me more cautious.

I have heard about wd 40 to remove rust which is good at it work. Also one of my friend who is a KTM user recommended to use Motul chain cleaner and lube.

So should I first use wd 40, then later clean the chain using Motul chain cleaner and the lubricate it? Will this be a good process? Or someone can suggest what would be the good method to get rid of rust and keep my chain maintained.

              Any suggestion is much appreciated.

              Thanks to all.

                How old is your bike?
This is ridiculous to ask ₹ 1K for cleaning the chain which in warrantee. I see new bikes (Fz also) with rust formation. Keep chain lubed in rainy season specially, Atleast once in bi-weekely. I suggest you to go to local mechanic for removing the rust and learning to clean lube chain for 1st time.

Honda ASC is going bad day by day. Recently I serviced my bike. They asked INR. 150 for clean and lube the chain. I asked whether servicing include chain cleaning or not. They rejected it. Mechanic said chain clean is separate cost. So I agreed to pay 150 for clean and lube. When I went to receive bike chain was neither cleaned or lube. Also same situation with another Hornet owner. I asked them to clean and lube on front. But they did't do it properly.
It's better to clean and lube by yourself or make it done at local shop, using your own cleaner and Lube.

Can anyone confirm whether, chain cleaning comes under servicing or not?

Thank you Anoop for the details. My bike is just 3 months old and it has rN only 1800 kms. Also I asked them if the chain is covered under warranty, they refused saying the warranty is only for the engine even though I bought extended warranty [emoji17]. I will check for a good mechanic nearby If possible or I will have to do it myself.

It's easy process. But, just for learning for 1st time better to go to mechanic they will do it better.
I clean it once a month and lube it biweekly. No rusting in 1.5 years.

It's hot rpm. Set it to 12/1300

At last I was able to clean the chain and got the rust removed. Went to a garage guy nearby an he took 100₹ to clean it. Was shocked to find out the lumps of grease and dirt. Seeing that it was clear that the Honda service center guys did not clean any of that at the first service.. Thank you for your help.

                            Tip;
Headlight dim + Passing light is twice as brighter than headlight in bright mode.
                            .
For those who are riding hornet at night with stock headlight, just use this hack.
                            No need to change headlight

Yeah it's good trick but it'll drain battery faster. You're effectively using 70W headlight on 4 Ah battery. Other bikes get 5/6 Ah 🔋.
Also if you really need passing light during some emergency you can't use it

                                Nop.
Actually we can't turn on both bright & dim same time.
When use pass light with dim, simply
Battery handles the bright one & generator handles the dim light.

Both won't be powered by battery.
