Why can't I do the same with my Hornet ?
With change in CC and gear ratio, rider has to adjust with gear shifting pattern.

With hornet, I shift up to 4rd gear by 35-40Kmph and keep it till 55-60 as per acceleration needs. What problem you are facing?
30-40 Kmph should fall in 4rth gear after up-shift. If bike is new, don't afraid of engine node change. It changes sound, it's characteristic of engine, don't worry engine is not stressing.

Better don't take for long ride, just too many things to keep in check and that will spoil your enjoyment. If still you need to take it, keep the revs below 5000 rpm, vary the speed often and take a break often, like every 50 Kms. Oh and no aggressive acceleration and deceleration. That should do it!

Hey don't worry about the long drive. Just start early, and take frequent stops. The Honda manual just says no sudden or rapid acceleration for first 500 kms. Avoid sudden braking also.

Don't even think about keeping time... Keep it under 5000 rpm and every 50 Kms take a 10-15 minute break. You can do it...

Does your engine make any noise when you do so? It's possible that carburettor settings must be lean. So it can't run on higher gear at low speed.
                  Ok.
I will ask the mechanic about this carburetor setting.

                  No, bike is not new.
I'm using it for almost a year now.
As I said, I'm facing problem with the pickup only.
I'm comparing it with the pickup of two totally different bikes, Gixxer and Passion.

Be happy and a reason will come along !

                            Which center you are visiting?
So far I have visited Vaishnavi Honda (kondapur) and Harmony Honda (BHEL). In my experience, you got to bit strict, elaborate what you needed to be done. Check properly while taking delivery.
These guys won't take care of bike. Even once I have to give separate note what to work on.

Not shouting but have to talk strictly. Other wise they will they will do half work and try to convince you it's done.
Few page back I already mentioned. Two of us Hornet owner paid for chain clean and lube but they did nothing , also try to convice they cleaned and lubed ot but washed away in water washing.
