Sir your pm box is fullOriginally posted by leech View Postanoopkumar0 - before buying AMC request them for the terms and conditions booklet. Its usually the situation that they agree to anything you say, but the written word holds the sword.
Caveat Emptor - otherwise we would be like the guy who ordered a hot chick from Amazon but received only the top she was wearing.

Re: Honda CB Hornet 160R Owners Experiences
I think you can use Rust-Oleum for coating your silencer. Also, for coating other metal area, I think you can go to a 3M center, they will get the coating done. Alternatively, you can use WD40 spray once in a while for your metal area and wipe it. This is cheaper and best solution. However, it may attract dust on the frame and you may have to keep wiping it off. While spraying near Disc brakes, please ensure to cover it as any residue on brake disc will be dangerous.Originally posted by Parag Sharma View PostHeyy guys, need your help. - Try to go to a mechanic ask him to adjust the chain and ensure the marking on rear wheel is at the same level on both the side. That ensures wheel is in line with the chasis.
- You can go on a long trip. However you need to maintain the RPM below 4500. We are tempted to go fast while on a long ride. So please avoid unless you can control your urge to go faster.
- Change the engine oil only at specific interval. Or else you would be wasting money. And I would advice you to go with Honda Mineral oil until you complete two services. That is first change at 1K kms and second one at 6K kms. This will help engine set very well. You can switch to Honda Throttle at second service. This will help engine last longer.
Ride Safe!

Good to hear. Hoping to hear the response from them.Originally posted by vaRider View PostHello guys,
Just few hours ago, I've shot an in depth grievance email to Honda for complaining about ASC. I'll update you guys once I get some reply.
I think automobile companies in India should educate their dealers and Authorized service center to being more customer-centric than profit-oriented. Also, they need to invest on training the technicians to be very professional. E.g. teach them how to use the right screwdrivers than damaging the head of a screw using a wrong screwdriver. Treat customer's bike as their own bike etc.

Yup, latest fraud I got to know was engine de-carbonizing! Apparently just 1.5 years old BS-IV Hornet needs to undergo such process. So ASC are actually defaming the Honda engines this way! [emoji13] costs 450₹ and removes carbon from all engine parts, is what ASC says!

Re: Honda CB Hornet 160R Owners Experiences
It is better to adhere to what he is suggesting. If not atleast get it inspected at 4k kms.Originally posted by Remesh Augustine View PostOn my 24,000 Km service ASC guy asked me to change engine oil at every 3000 km ....
he thought I forgot to change at 21,000 km.... at last he agreed with me . Honda should give proper training to ASC service staff.
I was also sticking to manual service interval of 6 K KM's .
Result is I had a damaged clutch assembly at 26k KM's.
I had to pay 1.5k to get it replaced.
So never know how the engine oil quality is at ASC.
I have always used throttle from first service till date.

Re: Honda CB Hornet 160R Owners Experiences
Regarding oil change i believe only fully synthetic like Honda throttle can last till 6000 kms... Otherwise mineral oil doesn't last beyond 2000kms if you ride hard then till 1500 kms.... Best you check the oil quality every fortnight along with oil level....
You can easily change oil at home... Bottle of mineral oil costs 300rs ... Oil drain plug washer will costs rs 2... A washer can be used 2 times as you can change the side....
I haven't used fully synetic but i believe it can easily last 4-6000 kms
