Thanks. Even I said it's around 150, but he was adamant.Originally posted by Khemchand Sure View PostI bought it for RS140 from ASC in april 2017 ...dont have idea what is current cost..
They also push to have engine decarb done, to which I politely refused. Costs at 450₹. Not really required for 4 stroke engine. You can read more about it on Team BHP.Ride hard, Ride safe! :D

Re: Honda CB Hornet 160R Owners Experiences
Paid service 1250 ₹ and not satisfied at all. My bike was Teflon coated but not washed!
No rust removed, no cleaning of engine area and suspension. Bike is as it is before servicing. Only work they did engine oil change, chain lube and other parts oiling.
Poor finishing of Teflon. Poor service. Had to wait 6 hours despite of having appointment!
Frustrating service ever... [emoji107] [emoji36] [emoji37]Last edited by vaRider; 10-01-2017, 06:10 PM.Ride hard, Ride safe! :D

Mechanics always push to buy extra, annual maintenance, extra 150 for chain clean and lube excreta-excreta.
Last time I also paid for chain clean and lube and find that chain neither cleaned or lubed at all, exactly same situation with another hornet guy at same time.
On complaining one of them try to convince that it is lubed but later they took bike again but didn't cleaned properly.
It's better to go with stock servicing and do the extra things on your own.
Did you see the air filter packaging what was the cost mentioned, they can't charge for fitting at-least.
What's included in ₹1250?------------------

Re: Honda CB Hornet 160R Owners Experiences
My Hornet 160 has completed 24,000 Km and service done at EVM Honda Kakkanad. Service person told me that front brake pad worn out completely. But spare is not available at their service centre and even their main centre situated at Vyttila ,Kochin. Please help...waiting for last 10 days... My indicator relay also failed... They informed that it has come ... but not covered under warranty... I have purchased 3 year extended warranty and AMC also. But no way.. I was the first customer for Hornet 160 in Kerala

Ohh that's so bad Ramesh. I remember from your earlier posts that you were covering distance pretty fast and first one to do 10k on Hornet!Originally posted by Remesh Augustine View PostMy Hornet 160 has completed 24,000 Km and service done at EVM Honda Kakkanad. That's so sad to hear that spares aren't available. If in dire need, please get 3rd party break pads. No compromise on safety...Ride hard, Ride safe! :D

Re: Honda CB Hornet 160R Owners Experiences
T,hese AMC is always trap.
While taking AMC, nearby my office, I asked can I avail servicing at any center. They told yes. Now, when I went to bike they showed the point mentioned that AMC services and free wash can only be availed at center from purchase. WTF.
While taking they will say everything is covered now, they will make excuses.
Honda ASC, are really turning of to go for honda in future. What's point of having wide neywork of ASC.

[MENTION=81261]anoopkumar0[/MENTION] - before buying AMC request them for the terms and conditions booklet. Its usually the situation that they agree to anything you say, but the written word holds the sword.
Caveat Emptor - otherwise we would be like the guy who ordered a hot chick from Amazon but received only the top she was wearing.

Re: Honda CB Hornet 160R Owners Experiences
Hi friends need a little help. It's been around 12000 kms in my bike and recently got the chain tightened and after that I started feeling the handle to be not easily flickable and at times I feel like the tyre is less on air but it's not the case. Could the chain tightening cause any issue with the handling?

Re: Honda CB Hornet 160R Owners Experiences
Yes, tightness of chain changes travel range of suspension. A 'slightly' differently behaving suspension could give you a feeling that you're not riding your own bike.Originally posted by Venuinturi View PostHi friends need a little help. Originally posted by FreeSpiritedBiker View PostHello guys,
It's been almost a year now and my bike has completed 6,500 Kms. (I know it is very less)
I've calculated the average by reserve to reserve method.
I had filled 6 liters of Indian Oil's XtraPremium petrol when it was showing 6261kms on ODO.
At 6505kms, the bike completely died on me and I had to switch it to reserve mode again.
So it means my bike is giving the average of 40kml
6505 - 6261 = 244 kms
244 kms / 6 ltr = 40.67 kmpl
Riding Conditions :
I ride in city traffic only.
I ride under 60kmph most of the times.
Anyway, now I've filled up 2 liter of Shell's V Power petrol.
I've noticed that, the bike started to feel peppier instantly.
Let's see what average I will get with this petrol now.
Hello guys,
I've checked the average again and this time with Shell's V Power Petrol. (6 liter & reserve to reserve method)
This time, the average is 38.
Be happy and a reason will come along !
