Not the brand itself, I meant the old family of engines (the ones with scissor gear, rotor filter and a starter clutch that's not properly lubed) will be phased out.

Thanks, we buy bikes with much intereset and passion, this bike is my 2 years saving and first bike for me, i am not that much rich to sell and buy new bike. I took it to service center and told them to check compressior they said compression leaking and changed both valves and told me valves are week. covered under warrenty.

now i feel the torque , bike easily going now pickup is also good , but some kind of gur gur sound is coming and feeling vehical bit heavy , thought may be new parts will take time to settle. mechanic told me they are getting more complaints with valves these days , lost trust in honda

Iam happy that your problems got resolved. Did you ask the cause of the problem to the head technician.

I asked for the cause he said carbon formed on the valves and they looking weak, he said bad petrol is the cause,
but i insisted because till date i went to same petrol bunk only and that bunk has good reputation
then he showed me one unicorn engine with carbon formed on valves that just done 2k and told me the truth that now a days more honda bikes getting valves problems

Engine sounds like its damaged and yes, the rpm falls slowly when we let off the throttle.
                    Mine is 600 kms.
I am thinking of test riding some other hornets just to make sure, and for that I have to go to the showroom again as no one I know own one.
I too have the same problem. When engine is cold it's very smooth but after heating the engine becomes rough and doesn't wants to rev freely also rpm falls very slowly after releasing the throttle have you found any solution for it. ODO reading 604km

Yes i too have this before ,when engine is cold it's good but when engine heated like 30 min continuous drive same problem, now after valves change i think that issue resolved but it's just one day after valves changed i will let you know if this fixed the issue or not after a week testing like that .

You are at 604 ODO. I think bike's mood swing is normal till 3-4K.

In my experience, do a proper break-in of your engine
                          1. Keep 5-6 rpm till first service / 1000km.
                          2. Rev till 7.5 occasionally in 4th and 5th gear. let say once a week. Don't overkill.

Make a habit as following in break-in and after that
                          1. 30-40 sec engine warm-up in morning. Use, choke for 10-15 if required.
                          2. Rev comfortably for first 5-7 km.

You will get smooth ride after that.

Thanks for the reply, i always warm up my bike by kickstart idle it for about 4 minutes, also i ride very softly till now i have not crossed 4.5k rpm in top gear. Do hornet need a long kilometer interval than other bikes for engine break in . Earlier i had hero super splendor and within 700 to 800km the engine was set in perfectly, also i have honda aviator which is so smooth and free revving . But now my hornets smoothness is less than my aviator, i am feeling tensed [emoji22][emoji22][emoji22]

i brought the bike it's awesome beating super smoothe and weight balance is awesome. but after first server problems started for me , what you are asking for is not commonin new bike , service center people are asshole even through they know there is a complaint in bike they don't fix it until customer forced them to do so in free service,
if your facing that issue then do below things,
                              1. check your compression with ouside mechanic,
                              2. compare with other verhicals torque specially while going up sloap
                              3. check chain tightnese

after chain tight also your bike is slugish and feeling bit power less while going up slope then force svc to do compression check and valves or complain to honda on their number that's best option,

my problem identified while i am going between 80-100km speed.
after complainting to honda only my problems resolved ,service people responed properly
