Any 150cc air cooled is not an upgrade over unicorn 150.Originally posted by vengymgen View PostCan cb hornet be a good upgrade from unicorn 150? I am owning unicorn 150 FYI.
Better to look for RTR 200 4v 2.0 or Xtreme 200R (Launching in July 2018), lots of options are there.
If no budget constraint, CBR250 still timeless bike.------------------

Re: Honda CB Hornet 160R Owners Experiences
It wont really be an upgrade. In fact i would say unicorn has a better lower end than the hornet. If you want to upgrade try the RTR 200, NS/RS 200, R 15, FZ 25. CBR 250 or dominar if you have the budgetOriginally posted by vengymgen View PostCan cb hornet be a good upgrade from unicorn 150? I am owning unicorn 150 FYI.

Yeah. Various SVCs have different interpretations. There is one SVC in Bangalore which insists on Honda mineral being used. There is another SVC where our riding group knows the entire SVC team. They have no problem putting Motul or Shell in the bike. In fact i get Motul filled at Honda SVC. Even got some minor issues on a Gixxer sorted out at Honda SVCOriginally posted by anoopkumar0 View PostYes, it is as annoying as sound. But they impose this this condition.
Any way, you can use Honda Throttle (CBR 250 FS) oil. It is well priced and works very well.

At the end of the day it is all about the money and profits.

Honda Service: This time I had worst experience.
Place: Vaishnoi Honda - Kondapur - Hyderabad Telangana
8:30 am: I dropped vehicle at service station and come back to office. They checked and note down. I said clearly, check for carburetor , change engine oil honda throttle and do chain adjustment. Service guy told he will calling by after-noon and let me know the final estimate and changes and when the vehicle would be ready.
3:30 pm : Since no-one called, I called him and he told that it would take another hour hour.
5:00 pm: I reached to service center and saw bike is parked and water washed. I though service is done. On inquiry on counter, lady dialed to workshop and told it would take another 5-10 min. This happened twice.
5:30 pm: One guy took the bike workshop. I smell something fishy. I followed a couple minutes later, only to find out they didn't serviced the bike yet. Bike was on stand another guy preparing to change the oil. When I asked twice what about rest servicing and did you clean out carburetor or not. He told that they yet to service the bike they never clean carburetor unless there is some big issue with the bike. I mean the WTF, what is point of servicing when you don't even check for minor thing. I get clear feel that, these crooks just wash and change the engine oil and give the bike back.
I didn't kept the calm just wanted to finish whatever service, don't know if I shout they will mess up with bike.
7:00 pm: Another Crooked business while paying bill. I saw I got billed for Chain lube 135/- and another 20/- for nitrogen air. WTF. I told him that I didn't say to lube or clean the chain. Why I am getting paid? He said it's part of service package.
I had my earlier servicing from same service center but they added this unethical practice this time only. I over heard an uncle, who free serviced his new Scooty and got billed for nitrogen air.
I thought, I can trust big service center, but this is completely illegal business. I am writing this to service center and Honda.
I also giving the link of this post in email. So they can see what customers are thinking.
If you see that -
- Unethically charging customer without knowledge.
- Bad servicing by service center.
- Even if vehicle given on time. Making a customer wait for 2 hours.

Just do one thing bro. Go to their official site and launch a complaint against that particular svc. They will beg you to please you at any cost. I did the same, and they called me more than two times to make sure everything was okey with my bike.Originally posted by anoopkumar0 View PostHonda Service: This time I had worst experience.

Re: Honda CB Hornet 160R Owners Experiences
Thanks for the update Anoop. Please help me with a good SVC in Hyderabad. I've purchased a 2018 Hornet recently and got it's first service done from Warangal. I've noticed that my bike is sliding towards the left when I tried to check if it is balanced leaving the handle. I addressed this issue to the service center and these guys gave bike to my Dad as I returned to Hyderabad. The issue still exists and the bike still slides to the left. Please suggest me on what could be the probable issue in it.Originally posted by anoopkumar0 View PostHonda Service: This time I had worst experience.

Re: Honda CB Hornet 160R Owners Experiences
Did service center agreed with the bike issue when you given for service? If yes then they should resolve the issue in followup visits without extra fee.Originally posted by winturf99 View PostThanks for the update Anoop. Please help me with a good SVC in Hyderabad. Any big franchise should be good enough to resolve the issue.
I have visited so far Vaishnoi (Kondapur) and Harmony (BHEL) Honda they have capacity and take care to resolve the issue. I think JSP honda (Kukatpalli) is also good.
As, there is huge competition, they need to maintain the repo. Customer need to careful while giving bike and get it resolved.
The problem I posted above was about unethical charging, otherwise they resolve the issue. Yeah, it pain to visit and explain again and again, but you have to do it.
Update on my issue: I got call from service center they apologized for extra charging without consent. He explained that only 8% customers are not satisfied with service (Service center calls for feedback after service) , but I believe most people just ignore the minor extra charging. So, ASC is getting benefited from this extra charge, and, for 1000s of customer sum is huge. Honda customer care is also in email chain. Let see if they will reply any thing.------------------

Re: Honda CB Hornet 160R Owners Experiences
Yes, the service center guy who handled my bike agreed to it. He asked if the bike ever fell. It was pretty well taken care of and never fell. But he didn't resolve that issue and I can't really have a relaxed ride with it. Is it fine if I'll take it to any other service center in Hyderabad rather than my hometown before the second service itself and try to get it fixed or will they be charging anything for the service? Would you suggest me taking it to any other mechanic as this might be due to alignment in the rear wheel or fork alignment in the front wheel which they can mostly resolve?Originally posted by anoopkumar0 View PostDid service center agreed with the bike issue when you given for service? Did they agree on refunding your amount or deducting it on the next service?Last edited by winturf99; 06-20-2018, 01:05 PM.

Yes, if you are feeling they can't resolve the issue, you should visit different service center. This should be resolved withing warantee.Originally posted by winturf99 View PostYes, the service center guy who handled my bike agreed to it. He asked if the bike ever fell. Meanwhile take an opinion from trusted mechanic, you will able to know and explain to ASC in detail. So they will not able to fool this time.
Yes, he agreed to do adjustment. However, the point is it's only me getting refund but other customers are in loss.Did they agree on refunding your amount or deducting it on the next service?------------------

Re: Honda CB Hornet 160R Owners Experiences
I hear that it might be big issue sometimes, and need to replace some big parts in bike to fix the issue, but will cover in warrenty. do one thing , take it to some highway or some straight plain road and just leave your handle freely but don't drive with freehand , put your hand on handles without touching them incase you should be ready to take control of handle and see if bike moving to one side of road, if it's moving then there is an issue.Originally posted by winturf99 View PostYes, the service center guy who handled my bike agreed to it. Kukatpaly JSP is worst, they screwed up my bike, they have one good mechanic, he fixed my engine issue after esclations.
but if you complain to honda , honda will tell you to go to JSP honda only, because it the brand service center in hyderabad.

raaz321, Thank you for your suggestion. Yes I tried it on a plain road. It is moving towards the left. So, I will take it to any other service center. As AnoopKumar suggested, though SVCs from BHEL or Kondapur charge irrelevently they get the work done. I will try to get it fixed there. If it is still not resolved, I will drop an email to Hondasupportteam, but I doubt if forks or any other part related to the bike other than engine are covered under warranty? If so, I will be able to make a point on it if they neglect.Originally posted by raaz321 View PostI hear that it might be big issue sometimes, and need to replace some big parts in bike to fix the issue, but will cover in warrenty. do one thing , take it to some highway or some straight plain road and just leave your handle freely but don't drive with freehand , put your hand on handles without touching them incase you should be ready to take control of handle and see if bike moving to one side of road, if it's moving then there is an issue.

yes mostly other parts don't cover but still we have the rights to ask for manfacturing defects, until unless any falldown or accidents caused issue.Originally posted by winturf99 View Post@raaz321, Thank you for your suggestion.
