Agreed.. As bike is new, better get it checked by ASC and let them decide if insurance is need. Bike is new, you have insurance. There should be very minimal cost from your side. Peace of mind.

hi luckily there is no damage to bike , handle bar bent little bit, and bodat guard bent that's it so checked with ASC today and he told me it's cost me like 100 rs something to fix, but not much satisfied with ASC he is like not caring much when i told him about break issue that rear break has to press a lot to apply break, he told me it's design is like that not an issue don't know but not satisfied with these service peopleOriginally posted by anoopkumar0 View PostAgreed.. Re: Honda CB Hornet 160R Owners Experiences
I agree to all your points except for the fe there. My hornet gives around 50 for sure but on the other hand fz25 never heard of someone saying it to be giving more than 35.Originally posted by kris123456 View PostAdd 30k to hornet cost, you get
100 cc more (70% more than hornet)
Better handler
Better brakes
Same FE or around in city
6 more BHP
5 more torques
All LED lamps
More reliable bike
No complaints other than tappet noise, some rusting and some squeaks.
No wonder FZ thread is more active.

Re: Honda CB Hornet 160R Owners Experiences
I am a regular long tourer and am not a rash driver, out of 7000 km I had only drove 1500 km in city rest of km I had done long tours to my native place to bangalore and to and fro.Originally posted by vaRider View PostThat's true. Have seen very few travelogue and tourers on hornet compared to Gixxer, FZ. I guess most of the people upgraded to Hornet use it in city, but again hornet city performance is bad. As far as I've seen, youngsters ride Hornet due to looks and appeal. So the ratio of tourers is much lesser.
Exactly! First of all hornet is over priced in its segment. FZ25 is super bang for the buck for every category.
I've ridden FZ25 on highway and oh boy, bike has linear torture curve! It's so enjoyable! [emoji16] it can reach speeds of 120 easily and do 110 all day long!
In long drive hornet is very good it's very comfort, you can drive continuously no back pain except pain under bumps and easy to control at 80 and 90 kms, the braking is really good and as well pillion comfort is good, I drove 300km with my dad age 60 (usually he does not show interest travelling on a bike) but now he is ready to tour with me again.
And I have no issues with my bike now.
Mileage 54 on highway and in city 50
Love your bike, take care regularly ride safe... That's it..[emoji6]

Re: Honda CB Hornet 160R Owners Experiences
Hey guys just changed to fully synthetic Honda throttle at my 3rd free service... At 6264 to be exact....
Must say the change i see it's wow...
# engine has became quite softer and smoother ... Nvh levels have dropped quite drastically.....
# bike revs up quite easily... Also at higher revs engine is quite smooth...
# jerkiness in lower gear has emproved...
# on off throttle transition has got smoother too....
# no drop in pickup whatsoever...
Will update about FE on the future... Also i would try shell and motul fully synthetic oil too...

I've almost same story buddy! Hornet is boring to ride in crawling traffic but fun in fast moving traffic!Originally posted by vasan05 View PostI am a regular long tourer and am not a rash driver, out of 7000 km I had only drove 1500 km in city rest of km I had done long tours to my native place to bangalore and to and fro.

On highways it's total bliss to ride at speeds of 70-95 [emoji56]
But on straight roads, it gets boring as hornet doesn't cross 110+ easily.
Out of my 8k so far, 5.5k is on highway and rest in city area.Ride hard, Ride safe! :D

Well this bike is for my daily commute which is approx 34 Kms to and fro in bumper to bumper traffic of Mumbai. Cant even go for 3rd gear in evening peak hours.
One more thing...Just out of curiosity. Has anybody installed aftermarket visor on their Hornet. If yes, of which bike and can you share the pics.No Left, No Right...It's a SIMPLE BOTH HAND DRIVE

Hey guys what are these 2 lines for in the front brake caliper....
One i believe is for hydraulic brake fluid reservoir...
What is the other for...???
Can anybody explain this to me...???
Cable1: When front break is pressed.
Cable2: When rear break is pressed, Combi Break system apply break of both on rear and front break.

Re: Honda CB Hornet 160R Owners Experiences
If you apply front break, it will stop only front tyre.
If you apply rear break, it will apply on both rear and front.
Which break to apply, or both needed to apply , it's your driving choice. It's depends and try which suites your need.------------------
