I don't know the part name. Please see image.
When bike is on main stand it's only few drops over night but at side stand it's like 5ml -10ml.

I got it serviced but they didn't fix the issue. Current oil is Honda Throttle.
Can anyone tell me what exactly the issue so I can let ASC know the exact issue. We know that most of the ASC guys just try to defer all bike issues.
    Update: This is fixed.
At ASC, mechanic directly told that it's neutral switch (Some spring is busted).
Replacement part: Contact AssyNeutral Switch - 35759-K38-901 , Price: INR. 50
Should be following part, I am not sure.

Also, I found out a bolt is missing which joint silencer near breaks. Got it fixed.

@vaRider , That's strange oil leak from top of washer.

The engineer team from Honda visited on 19 Jan and they checked my bike and said there is no issue with the bike. But again i feel it is rough ( May be they are used to rough engines now).My local mechanic says honda ASC has just changed the oil and didnt do servicing properly and says give the bike to him and he will do the proper servicing. My 2nd service was done at 4100 Kms in December now I am at 5200 Kms and planning to do the 3rd free service with honda and later on do all the services at local mechanic. Even i raised a complaint online regarding the correct engine oil to be used as it is not clear in the booklet weather to use synthetic or mineral oil and ASC guys will fill mineral oil only as it is cheap.

Any suggestions or advice guys for the roughness or my plan for servicing.
I am also facing same issues. Whenever I've visited the ASC regarding this issue, the mechanic not agreeing with the harshness of bike. Now it is running in 6000 KM and 2nd service done on 5th Feb 2017 at 4400 KM. There are some vibrating issues in between 4k - 6k RPM. When I went for minor servicing (chain tight, washing etc, for every 500 KM) the ASC mechanic suggests me to change the engine oil. Is it necessary to change the engine oil between 2nd and 3rd service. Anybody please suggest me on this issue.

If you have any good mechanic contact details near Secundrabad, Please send it to my mail ([email protected]).

      Thanks in Advance.

The service done at honda ASC are not good. Specially the 2nd free service. I believe they dont change engine oil in 2 service and hence the harshness. After approaching honda asc for many times after second service i finally went to local mechanic and he did one service for 250 Rs and changed engine oil to basic mineral oil only and the bike is butter smooth till now at around 7800 KMS. My second service was done at 4200. I trust that the bike is great and the issues is only because of the poor attitude of the honda asc. I suggest get the bike checked at a local service station. even simple wash and lube and get honda mineral oil from service center and change it personally. Once done observe the smoothness.

also I'm thinking about installing auxiliary lights off 18w*2 each(36watts) total... how will it affect the battery life ???
has anybody done so...??? please advise me...

            Hey buddy
Battery compartment of hornet is fixed size and it can only contain 4 Ah battery. If you can get 🔋 having more power at same size, then you can easily install it.
            Let's know in that case!

Please install LED lights as I have done already. See my previous posts about that..

              All,

I am facing an issue while shifting the gear from 1st to 2nd. It goes to neutral a lot of times instead of 2nd. I face a lot of issues because of this in heavy traffic.
This issue gets fixed for a month after giving for servicing but the recurs after that. My bike has 2250km on the odo and the first service was complete about 1.5 months back.
Is this because of chain slack/lack of lubrication?

Also, the ASC changed some spring in the gear assembly during the first service after which a lot of the gear shifting issues were partially resolved. Now after 1.5 months, they are coming back

Please give me your valuable suggestions.

              Thanks!

Some one changed indicators on Fz25.
Is there any possibility we can install these lights without change of wiring?
They have product for Hornet too, but I am not sure if it can be done without wiring alteration:

Tighten and clean chain. With a tight & clean chain, there is no issue in mine..
But when its loose, it occures

Can we do this ourselves, or is it better to go to the ASC?

Chain should be removed and cleaned before tightening. Visit any repair shop or ASC

That is extensive cleaning. It will take 3-4 hours.
I don't think chain is that much exposed to dirt.

ASC will tightens By adjusting rear sprockets.
For normal cleaning, chain clean spray and lube, can be done at home easily.

                          Hello everyone..
                          I have a small doubt..
The new 2017 hornet 160r has slightly less power and also lesser weight (by 2kg).
Even though the honda hasn't disclosed any reason for this, I think it is done to get better stability and handling at high speeds? Can this assumption be correct or can the reason be something else? What do you think?
                          Thank you all.

Imo it's not about stability, as bike is stable already and doesn't go over 105 easily.

The engine is very grunty and rough with that high compression ratio. So to increase smoothness the power must be reduced..

If that is so.. 2017 hornet should be better since that slight decrease in power could not even be noticed while riding right?

                                Earlier it was 15.6 BHP and now it's 15.04. I don't think it's noticeable.
May they have refined the engine more, as users have complained about harshness of engine.
