There is a slightly sluggish feeling, after switching to a heavier oil. Might be a placebo effect, but mileage tests show mileage is poorer on highway on heavier oils.

I'm using Mobil1 10W40 Fully Synthetic, No problems faced in acceleration so far.

I can't completely deny this, although I don't see a theoretical reason as to why this should happen. Mileage definitely hasn't dropped, but hasn't improved by long miles either.

The fun factor, which goes to support your point, is that this (50) oil feels best at higher rev-ranges where peppiness doesn't go away like most oils and there aren't crazy hot radiations looking to melt your pants. At extremely low rev-ranges(1k-2k : stop-go traffic), there is close to no increase in performance.

Further adding to your theory about "Honda engines" - I've felt that the same oil going into friends' FZ-S and P220F becomes more beneficial - the difference is obvious to a layman. How, it beats me!

I'm using Mobile1 5W50. The way it helps high-rev, it does not help in low-rev.

None for me. But increase isn't in leaps-and-bounds as suggested by most posts. To be precise, my mileage went from 43 to 45 after the change. (My daily drive is 30mins for 6-7 kms)
What does change drastically is the throttle response in mid to high ranges and temperature.

I've tried a 20w40 oil on my unicorn 160. The bike felt quite sluggish.

It maybe because the engine has to work harder to pump more viscous oil through the engine.

In last pic you can see headlight on left side and lights up front.

Any suggestion how to make arrangements on leg guard to aim both lights at same point? Then it would very brighter!

Sorry I missed it. Referencing it here for everybody while on topic here.

Although, about your question, I won't mind two beams as the overall coverage is twice as much! This looks perfect!!

                  • Honda Hornet 160r gear shifting hardness

After riding 4000kms now it feels better to shift gears smoothly specially 2nd and 3rd gear. Before 2nd servicing it used to give noise while shifting gears but after servicing now it's smooth.

changed the suspension to the softer setting and I can confirm that the ride is waaaaaaay better. I wouldn't call the setting 'soft', it doesn't throw you like a jack in the box, but it isnt as harsh on your bums like in the default setup.
i'd suggest everyone to switch to this setting for better ride comfort. the default is a bit too firm and very harsh for uneven roads.

                              Hi All,

I brought my hornet recently and whenever the bike starts rolling I can feel a some stange noise coming from the chain sprocket behind. When I throttle up and wear my helmet it's not that audible but if you want to hear carefully you can feel it.Can anyone throw some light on the issue ..Did anyone face the same thing..I saw in another post about some chain noise coming in an hornet. Is it normal on a new bike .The showroom said it will go away after first servicing.Overall the engine and bike performance is very smooth but this faint chain noise(I think it's coming from rear wheel sprawket ) is bothering me.I am in divided whether it's a chain noise or some polythene which is stuck is making the noise when the rear wheel is rotating. It will be great if anyone can throw some light if you had the same issue.

                              Thanks,
                              Anuran

Put the bike on center stand and rotate the wheel. You can find the source whether it's normal or something inside making noise.
In starting ASC guys lube the chain with grease which is not good. It makes lots of noise and too much dust gets stuck on chain.
Get Motul Chain Cleaner + Lube . Get your chain chain cleaned and lubed within a month at least.

It's must have maintenance to get chain cleaned and lubed within a month at least.
