Like Anoop said, many are not in xbhp. Don't worry about activity in a thread - Splendor thread has one of the lowest activities yet jam packed with info. There are more posts on the GS thread than actual GS150Rs on the roadOriginally posted by vaRider View Post

Re: Honda CB Hornet 160R Owners Experiences
Friends need a little help. I have changed my chain sprocket set at 12000 which I feel a little early since I haven't taken good care of my chain. Now I have completed 500 kms after chain replacement. What is the recommended chain tightening interval and cleaning interval to be take care.

Every 500 km please lube chain and tighten it. Depending on riding conditions please clean and lube at 2 weeks or 1000 kmOriginally posted by Venuinturi View PostFriends need a little help. Re: Honda CB Hornet 160R Owners Experiences
guys really disspointed with hornet, after reading lot of negative review also blindly brought this shit beveling Honda brand, but this bike engine sucks .
it's struggling to climb slop even a 110 cc bike going easily , and even when in 1st and 2nd gear bike stopping in traffic . engine sound changed to some tuktuk sound after first service, it's quite irritating . and even in 2-4k rpm bike not moving forward, exept first gear it's become really hard to climb slops .
suggest me what to do and what is the air pressure to maintain guys ? in service book it mentioned 25/29 and i am doing 26/30 as of nowLast edited by raaz321; 10-30-2017, 09:57 PM.

I don't think it's problem of tire pressure. I think 30/32 is optimal pressure. 26 in front will decline rapidly.Originally posted by raaz321 View Postguys really disspointed with hornet, after reading lot of negative review also blindly brought this shit beveling Honda brand, but this bike engine sucks .

I have to climb a slope everyday in my office commute where I see all the bike/car struggles.
Hornet's gear ratio is odd.
Gear 1: To short.
Gear 2+: Long.
Adjust with it, biking will be good. I already mentioned earlier, don't afraid of hash sound when in lower gear and a little high speed. It will get better and you will have ample power in need.
While entering slope keep the top-end-speed-of-gear (Usually 2nd or 3rd) and climb in this gear only. Works well and you will zoom past even higher cc bikes.------------------

Re: Honda CB Hornet 160R Owners Experiences
2nd gear works well on incline. I've experienced it a lot in ghat rides. 1st gear gives up easily at 15ish in ghat. So use 2nd most of the times if speed is 10-25. Unless you see slope ending, don't switch to 3rd gear..Originally posted by anoopkumar0 View PostI don't think it's problem of tire pressure. Get your clutch cable checked. It must not be disengaging completely. I had similar issues about vibrations and it was rectified in last service. Just take it to good mechanic.Originally posted by raaz321 View Postguys really disspointed with hornet, after reading lot of negative review also blindly brought this shit beveling Honda brand, but this bike engine sucks .

30/32 it won't burst right ? i will try 30/32 this time ...Originally posted by anoopkumar0 View PostI don't think it's problem of tire pressure. I think 30/32 is optimal pressure. 26 in front will decline rapidly.

i have to climb 3 steep slops every day ,i am doing in 1st gear bcz 2nd or higher gear seems to can't handle that even for normal slops it's struggling , i am in 3-5k rpm while climbing is that anything to do with this ?
Gear 1: To short.
Gear 2+: Long. i didn't get it .please explain
back Tyre skidding like some once pushing it to right or left .and when i was driving i was feeling like this bike can do more but something dragging it back while driving like feeling don't know what's hpnging really , and for sudden stops while decelerating, i increased ideal rpm to 1500 something still had issue

1st gear gives up easily at 15ish in --what is that mean ? i have to climb slop in heavy traffic like i can't maintain speed of 5kph at least and in the middle of slop also i have to stop if traffic before me stops .Originally posted by vaRider View Post2nd gear works well on incline. bike not reaching full force like i accelerating but not feeling the bike getting that engine power completely . and it taking bit time to get acceleration apart from increasing ideal rpm what need ti check ?Originally posted by vaRider View PostGet your clutch cable checked. Re: Honda CB Hornet 160R Owners Experiences
Buddy there seems to be some issue with tight brake, loose chain or engine issue. Have it checked from ASC.Originally posted by raaz321 View Post30/32 it won't burst right ? i will try 30/32 this time ...

Re: Honda CB Hornet 160R Owners Experiences
Believe me that's the same thing I've experienced during my initial stages where in like around 6-7 k kilometres. Now I must say when I drive my friends newly bought gixxer I don't have even a bit of hesitation to say I have taken the right decision in going for hornet. It is now so smooth that I feel like I can ride it all day long. Make sure u switch to fs and maintain your chain well which was missing during the first few kilometers.Originally posted by vaRider View PostGet your clutch cable checked. Yup, will be switching to FS soon. 8k on odo now.. I do chain clean and lube myself every 500km or 2 weeks..Originally posted by Venuinturi View PostBelieve me that's the same thing I've experienced during my initial stages where in like around 6-7 k kilometres. Bike is new and you will feel harsh when going high RPM in low gear. That's you can go. It will get smoother after wear n tear.Originally posted by raaz321 View Post30/32 it won't burst right ? i will try 30/32 this time ...

30/32 tyre pressure: People in Hyderabad fill 35/40.
Gear 1: To short. speed bracket in 1st gear is 0-15. You will not feel acceleration after 15 in 1st gear.
Gear 2+: Long. from 2nd gear you can rev rev and accelerate to higher speed. 2nd gear goes to 35-40 if needed.
While climbing on slope, you need to maintain speed while entering and try not to upshift till you reach to top. I feel this is more of technique than machine specific.
Yeah, perfectly fine. 5-8K odo is good.Originally posted by Parag Sharma View PostHey guys....is it okay to switch to FS oil at 5000 kms at the odo ??------------------

Re: Honda CB Hornet 160R Owners Experiences
guys today i crashed my hornet !one dickhead walking in middle of road suddenly jumped in from of my bike in panic i applied front breaks and it's locked i fallen down , i knocked my head on concrete road thank god helmet saved me a lot , got small scratches on hands and body but my bike clutch cable got tighten and when taking right turn it's not engaging with engine i had to again bit turn it left , and i think handle bar also bent a bit but not confirm how to check handle bar , actually i did the 1st service 4 days back at that time front break was awesome never skid like that but back break is too lose so i asked that mechanic idito to fix it he didn't fixed it and messed up with front break , after that only it used to skid today morning also i went to fix it but he didn't came so they told me to come tomorrow , and today evening i banged . tomorrow i wil take it to service center but they can identify bike fallen ,so do they fix it for free? i am ok to pay to check clutch issue, one big doubt my bike is CBS, i put the bike in center stand and started and applied front break but bake wheel running. means no breaks applied ,but as per my knowledge CBS means if we applied front break it should work on both typre am i correct ?Last edited by raaz321; 11-01-2017, 10:08 PM.

Claim your insurance.
Get your bike fixed properly. No point in hiding fact that bike crashed somewhere. Safety is important.
Next time onwards, please ride safe and get everything checked properly before riding.
CBS works only if you press rear break. Rear brake=Rear+front
Front brake=only front
Take care.Ride hard, Ride safe! :D
