I have no idea about the sound.
    Yes Bro,

Just confirmed about the cylinder kit about Hornet and Unicorn 160...
Both share the same cylinder kit with same part number as I checked in the computer in Honda parts store here in ASC.!!!!

About the engine tone when in gear ,I think that as the cylinder kit is new and there is synthetic oil ,it will take time to set in....

It is ridiculous to replace the whole meter assembly for a SET button. Usually, SET button is a separate part, and the meter can be bought as a complete assembly too. If you are in Chennai, there is a official Honda parts distributor (in GP road I think), "Popular Spares" from Popular group (their website is down now). They are also one of the official parts distributor for TVS, RE and Yamaha.

Did you try asking in Didar? as most parts are available there. If they don't have the stock, at least ask them if they can order it for you.

If nothing works, you should mail Honda.

        Hi guys
        Hornet has O-Ring chain
So mechanic was saying for O-Ring chain we don't need chain spray, instead it needs chain oil.
Can anyone please help me out which oil or spray should be used for cleaning and which lube ??

Use motul chain spray this is good when compared to 3M.

And the ASC where I get the bike serviced he also asked me to use the same after cleaning the chain.

Motul chain spray lasts only 2-4 days and becomes dry fast, try OKS, cheaper and more stickier.

                  Thank you for suggesting OKS.
I am not able to find it online.
                  I live in Bangalore.
Will try at local outlets, is there any product code ?
As I could see so many products in their company website with different codes.

You should find it locally, it's around 200-250 , motul is around 500/600

                        Yes, no issue with it.

In my Hornet, ASC guys mistakenly top up mineral oil (around 80ml )over Honda Throttle FS.
No issue with this also 2K covered after it.
Some senior mechanic told that it's nothing big deal, on which, I scolded them and took guarantee that anything happens I will screw them.
There is no issue so far.

Nothing adverse will happen. It has turned into semi synthetic oil.

                            Hi all,

Need an advise. After riding around 900 after filling honda mineral oil my engine seems a bit rough in lower gears for the last 2-3 days..And gear shifting is also bit hard.should I change to fully synthetic after clocking 1000 Kms to motul 7100 10w40 fully synthetic oil.or should I wait for another 1000 km to get clocked on my odo before changing it.Actually I had to get my first servicing done with very less km clocked on my odo due to registration delay and 30 days mark getting over.So next service is at 6000 km.So shall I wait for that long or should I change my engine oil to fully synthetic after clocking 1000 in the ODO?

                            Thanks ,

Is your bike total ODO is 900km, then you need first servicing and better to keep mineral oil for few more thousands to brush off engine.

Don't worry much about rough sounds at middle rpm 4-5k. It will get smoothen.

I suggest to use Honda Throttle FS. It will also keep your official warrantee .
