Stock is great tyre. If you want to upgrade for better cornering and looks, have a look on MRF MASSETER.

does the weight of tyre has any effect in the motorcycle... as i have found that all the foreign brand tyres weighs about 4 to 7 kgs.. whereas MRF masseter weighs 2 kgs (140/70r17)

Think for yourself. Is it easy to pull a 5kg load or a 10kg load?

Also can you link to the source that mentions teh weight of Rear MRF Masseters and the weight of foreign brand rear tyres?

The price allows one to drop it after using for 3000-4000 kms. If one uses for 4k kms, the cost would be approx 1 INR for every 10 kms. That's affordable!

The term "Fully synthetic" is just a marketing gimmick. This so called FS Yamalube oil will contain Group 3, 2 or 1 Base oil as its Majority constituent with Group 4 base oil being significantly less. (In simple terms, this FS oil is no better than your SS or Mineral variants)

100% pure synthetic oil is significantly expensive.

                            Hello all,

I have some problem with my bike.
My odo reading is 13k kms.
There is some knocking sound coming from the engine at 2800 rpm in every gear under load.
If we run it free in neutral there is not any sound.
I have shown to mechanics at ASC but unable to find the real problem.

If anyone has any solution to the problem, please help.
Also, there are lot of vibrations coming from the footpegs, tank and handlebar after 4000 rpm.

I was also thinking of changing the engine oil from mineral to Honda FS, Will that be effective for problem solution??

                            ----consecutive posts auto-merged-----

One more issue I am having with my bike is that if after riding we park our bike and get back to it after half an hour or so and start it, there is a jerk and misses from the engine, why is so??
After riding for 10-15 minutes it gets right...

Yes, it is Yamaha's in-house FS like Ecstar and Throttle. I remember reading somewhere oils that are ultra refined minerals, PAOs or esters can be called synthetics. Sometimes they will be a blend of these 3. Only Yamaha knows the secret formula. What is the drain interval for R15?

The drain interval for the same oil is at Yamaha recommended is 5000 kms... I asked in r3 thread
.. but generally they drain at 3-4000 kms
