Not aware of the chain and sprocket life as many of us are reaching the 10K km mark and till now no immature sprocket and chain wear have been reported by any of the Tnt 25 owners on this thread.
And as per my bike which have crossed 8400 Kms today chain and sprockets are in good condition and i also clean and lube them whenever required. Lets see how long does it lasts. And in the end it also depends on care taken by maintaining the chain & sprocket. Lets hope for the best !!

Hi Chandan 10K kms life is predicted by the svc guys but by going with the quality of chain sprocket plus good care of the same if taken chain and sprocket can easily last for 15K to 16K kms. As the model is new and many of them owners are nearing 10K kms mark lets see if anybody's chain and sprocket get worn out.

And I will be also completing 10K mark in few days and just yesterday got the chain and sprocket inspected and they seem to be good condition (timely maintenance is done).
It would be interesting to wait watch about what would be life of chain and sprocket.
    Thanks,
    Anway Kale.

Hi Asterfoods good to know issue got solved due to charging of battery. But also check with svc whether your bikes stator coil is of new updated version (design) or it is of old version. Because ideally this issue should not happen as Stator coil charges the battery each and every time bike is ridden (Ask them to also check the current going to battery when bike's engine is turned on and other checks i.e. when bike is at idle etc).
And when my bike's coil was changed but it was not completely damaged but was started to deteriorate and this was found out when they checked the current which was passed to battery to charge it.

Ji actually there is a issue with the stator coil of the earlier batches of TNT 25. The SVC guys are replacing the coil under warranty. Please check with them. The only issue in Chennai SVC is that most of the time spare stock wont be there. But they do the repair work perfectly, and responds immediately. I know how the Honda, Suzuki and Hero SVC Guys are responding.

Battery drain in the first place itself should give you a red flag with regard to the issue. Though you've charged your battery and the charged battery and the stator can provide juice for day to day rides, high power drain like headlamps and console light, night riding can cause a complete stator failure. If you're under warranty, push for a stator replacement as fellow bhpians have suggested.

                      Cheers!

Had a nasty experience from Police during my last week ride to sriharikotta..
Some Pulsar wala kids were racing on the highway...
Police stopped all the 200 cc bikes. Myself and one more guy got into the pack. Was in Police Station from 2pm to 7 pm. Didnt had any food. After some dsp level intervention they allowed to go without any fine or charging.

And the most funnies part is the same 3 pulsar wala guys again started at high speed just after this. He is not even wearing a proper helmet. But going over 120 km/hr. When our people will understand.

The Police also cant be blamed. Such a frustrating day.... He is just 19.....

Hi Shrav thats the negative side of soft compound tyres that they are prone to punctures easily but the grip which Metzelers provide is phenomenal. The other option in tyres is Michelin Pilot street radial which are available on Amazon. If possible please stay on soft compound tyres as the grip they provide is umatchable.
Yesterday only i found one nail in my bikes rear tyre so yesterday was the first puncture i faced.

Please find below links for the tyre options - (Note "I am not associated to any online shop or tyre dealer this is just for the usefulness of the fellow riders)
I would suggest to buy tyres directly from shop instead ordering it online as there is a chance that you will receive old stocks or if you want to purchase online please check with seller whether it is latest stock before placing order for same.
And to check the same - "To check manufacturing date of your vehicle tyres four numbers will be there on the sidewall of the tyre usually preceded by the letters DOT. These numbers represent week number and year so 3410 will be week 34, 2010"

I agree with Anway that Metzeler for excellent grip, else you will have skidding issues during rains & especially when you apply only front brake during emergency.

I have Michelin on my Unicorn. Although they are good than MRF & GY but they skid on wet roads & during front braking, causing balance issues.
I had two incidents of emergency braking on front brakes. One time due to an idiot auto driver stopping without reason, my bike did not skid on Metzeler. But a biker behind me at the same time skid due to front braking and crashed on my rear tyre, luckily no damage to my bike. I Was saved most probably due to Metzeler grip.

So go for MEt's or Pirelli for excellent grip, Yes they have some negatives as Puncture prone, but for me Safety is Primary than Convenience.
