      Hello guys,

      I'm planning to buy a bike in this (200 - 250cc) segment.

I'm impressed with Benelli TNT 25's looks , sound and comfort (from reviews),
cannot make up my mind about it.

I want know about the servicing : is too expensive to live with , or is it expected for a bike at this range and quality?
and I want to know how the bike is to live with : in city , on Highway , on winding roads ??

-- Does this bike have a similar alternative ?

      Thanks in Advance

Yes it is a bit on the expensive side on maintenance but Living with is upto u.

Regarding the alternatives. You got the CBR 250R & Mahindra Mojo.

Don't forget Duke 200 as a pretty good alternative.

                Hi bro,
This bike is simply awesome no doubts about that but the thing is that maintenance is too high and spare parts of this bike is sky high and service intervals are very short every 4 months. Each service costs approximately 4k on an average every 4 month's.
Even I booked one this bike and then later cancelled it when I got to know all these things. You vll end up paying on maintenance on this bike around 20k for the first year. If you are okay with that then is good to go bike.

                  Hi Bhargav,

Bike is good as far as handling is concerned with few flaws but not measure ones. You can go through the thread for issues reported.
Maintenance is on a higher side with service intervals at every 4th month of 4k kms which is very short considering other brands service intervals.
If the damage is covered under warranty it is feasible for us else we have to shell out a bomb on spares (for eg chain sprocket assembly ~20K)
If budget is not a constrained for buying a new one personal advise is to wait another few months we have BMW 310CC launch which is expected to fall within 3 Lakhs (hypothetical). I feel since it is in collaboration with TVS, spares cost is controlled, so wise thing to do is play a waiting game. You can search online for new bike launches in 2017 for Indian markets where there are very exciting bikes waiting to be launched.

Dont Know why people say 4K every month.
My first service was 1200INR, 2nd Service was 2200INR, 3rd will be same as 2nd.
So for me, it seems economical for a Premium bike.

Not every month, but every service. What is mentioned in the earlier posts is ~4k rupees every 4 months assuming one rides 1000 km a month.

Yes, service intervals of 4k km are ridiculously short. I sometimes do 3k+ km in a month and this is a valid concern. While TNT25's bills maybe smaller in amount due to less(er) consumables (obvious reasons) than a TNT300, here's what TNT300's service costs in MH state.

                      1st Service: Total Cost: 4,212.00

Hope you post will surely save some fellow buyer from popping their cash like a bomb. Good informational post. I knew it's costly but from your post I got the exact figures.

I believe apart from servicing cost there is another potential problem with Benelli brand in India i.e. they have very limited service centers and according to their sales figure I doubt about the future too.

I have never paid more than 2.5K for any service so far in last 3 services. TNT25 may be cheaper than 300. But if you see closely, The case presented has lot of cost involved in high-Labour, Coolant, Brake oil etc which normally are changed only once a year. Not sure if something was wrong with this bike or maybe he clocked too many kms in short span.

I am not sure but In Pune the service fees(paid Service) itself is 1800+ Taxes i.e 2K, Oil is easily around 1K for normal Oil,

are they not charging you for Paid Service ?

Sir, please read the post in full before replying. His coolant/brake oil charges are 0.0 in most cases. The user has just jotted down various components (service break up) and posted the same in an organised manner.
I'm sure you're getting duped in some manner if your claims of 2.5k per service is true.

Labor charges alone are ~1.8-2k in many places. So either you're not getting all the stuff serviced/replaced or you're not telling the truth.

                                Hi GTDOM,

If i exclude brake pads cost of 3800 Rs the servicing cost for third service is 2990 which i was charged.
                                Breakdown as follows -
Engine Oil - 1100 Rs (Cost around 800 Rs per liter),
                                Oil Filter - 210
                                Labour Charges - 1680

                                Total - 2990 /-

So labour cost is around 1600 Rs approx (which might fluctuate) for Tnt 25.
                                Thanks,
