The price for the Heel guard is higher on the Royal Bikes website. However, it's a small difference to pay when RE dealership might keep you waiting for lord knows how long. I paid the price and went ahead with the purchase for the this very reason - none of the dealers where I'm at could guarantee a timely supply on this piece. Here's what I paid for via the Royal Bike site last month. Hope this helps!
Indeed, a woe that anyone can relate. And Sanjeev, appreciate the snapshot provided. It seems the prices have increased a fold from 230 to 260 to 333, for a motorcycle whose production has been ceased. Just RE things I reckon.
Cheers!

Once upon a time, a guy asked a girl 'Will you marry me?'
The girl said, 'NO!'
And the guy lived happily ever after and rode motorcycles and watched sport on a big screen TV, went fishing and surfing, and played golf a lot, and drank beer and scotch and had tons of money in the bank and left the toilet seat up and farted whenever he wanted.
Keeping in that line thought, imagine a pitch from RE that goes, ”The all new Himalayan: Now with dual channel ABS & rear brake master cylinder guard pre-fitted. Bookings open”...[emoji3]

These pics of the ABS set up was posted on the REH-Group India page on Facebook by Steve Ballington, from his new Himalayan at Madeira in Portugal. A sight for sore eyes, in my opinion...
I am facing an issue (Looks like an issue for me at least) in my REH BS4 November 17 model.
When I cruise at aroung 50 and above, I am hearing a constant "Whineeee' Noise. I checked with RE services centers and finally one Mechanic told me that this is not an issue. That Sound is expected and it is the 'Fuel Pump noise'.
Is this is a true statement or a simple workaround trick by RE Service centers as usual. Need your help.

Do you hear a grinding noise, as the RPM goes up, and goes away when the bike idles. The more you rev, the more grinding like whine comes out somewhere from the front? Is this what you're inferring AR?

Thank s for your reply.
Yes, the noise is exactly the same way you explained.
Yesterday, While I was on 70KMPH I switched off the ignition and the result was same, I could hear the noise.

Even I've found the same to be on my motorcycle. When inquired upon and checking with a few other motorcycles, I found them to be normal on all the bikes. The whoosh or grinding sound emanates when the engine is on and running. Do you hear the sound when the engine is turned off, is that what you're inferring by ignition turned off? Once the ignition is turned off, there are absolutely no sound whatsoever on any machine I've ridden, including mine.

Can someone kindly help me with my dilemma. I am looking for a new bike and the budget is 1.8 lakh rupees. I have zeroed in on 3 bikes classic gun metal grey, Himalayan bs4 and dominar 400. I have test ridden all these bikes several times. Ride quality that I found during test ride was in the following order Himalayan>>Gunmetal>>Dominar.Himalayan actually blows the competition out of the water in ride quality. It is superb.
I am inclined towards Gunmetal grey and Himalayan but my only issue is with reliability. In gun metal grey I have seen rear disc brakes getting locked. In Himalayan people are not happy with BS4 variant(hard clutch and heating issues). Dominar on other hand is not my type of bike but it is reliable.
Are these issues in RE because of manufacturing or improper service .
I am 5ft10.My weight is 76 kgs.I can cruise on 60-80km/hr happily.I don't like to rev the engine. I don't like to cruise in triple digits as it would mean theft of the sceneries for me.
Can someone please shed some light on Himalayan BS4 performance after a prolonged use.
Please post your initial observations with photographs after delivery.
Miles and miles of smiles with your baby are wished for you.
Cheers

Reviews: I am super happy about the performance and stability of this bull (im still thinking what to name it as). Gear shift is buttersmooth, brakes are lovely, its eager to touch revs >4k and does assure one's comfort with posture, speed and braking. It does heat up in city traffic and that's expected out of such a machine (liquid cooled engine would have been a better make by RE though). Thus far, I'm in love with this machine
Will share more reviews and pictures post rides in near future
Can someone here help me find good crash guard and pannier kit in Bangalore? TIA

Gentlemen, have anyone observed the speedometer needle jump when the ignition is being turned off to remove the key. Of late, and intermittently I see the speedo needle jump a second when I turn off the ignition, but there's no problem whatsoever when turning on the ignition, the pre start checks run fine. Anyone observed the same?
Cheers!
