Does anyone else have a BS6 version which was bought recently in which the clutch doesn't feel all that light and feels like normal bikes?... I have a feeling my clutch is actually tight comparatively as the other RTR 200 I have ridden I could easily pull in the clutch with one finger, this takes quite some effort for the same. Could it be some issue with the clutch assembly or should I just give it time as the bike has only 600 kms on the ODO?

Bumping this to get some help! Has anyone faced this issue? How do I fix this? (Edit: My bike is 2019 model**

Hello RTRians,
I have an Apache RTR 200 4V 2009 model. My bike is only a year old. In Mumbai, it has been raining continuously for several weeks and I wasn't able to take the bike out. There was a starting issue with the bike, and the battery had died. The On-road assistance (paid service) helped me get the bike started and I was able to recharge the battery.
During all this time, the display console on the bike stopped showing anything. There is just that blue background light, but nothing shows on the console! It is blank!
Has anyone faced a similar issue? Can you please tell me what happened to my display console?
I would like to know if I can fix it on my own before I take it to ASC.
Thanks a lot!---

Re: TVS Apache RTR 200 4V Ownership Experience
Why not check with service centre guys to get the clutch play adjusted? There should be a nut which needs to adjusted for free clutch play. That should take care of it.Originally posted by Joe29 View PostDoes anyone else have a BS6 version which was bought recently in which the clutch doesn't feel all that light and feels like normal bikes?... Re: TVS Apache RTR 200 4V Ownership Experience
Yeah, I did ask them during the first service and clutch play is good, gear shifting is smooth as well, and they told its ok. So, the only logical conclusion I came to is that RE 2.0 didn't have GTT (the bike I rode around a year back), so for GTT to work without stalling you need to be able to release the clutch more slowly, so maybe the BS6 version is not as light as RE 2.0, not sure. I also saw somewhere that the clutch travel has slightly increased for GTT in all the RTRs, again, not sure. Sadly there were no other RTR 200 present outside the service center to compare the feel back to back.Originally posted by ApacheArun View PostWhy not check with service centre guys to get the clutch play adjusted? If anyone else feels there has been literally no change to the clutch lever in any aspect and it is still feather light in BS6, please do let me know, I will try asking in another service center as well to confirm. Thanks.

I have bought the BS6 version 3 weeks back. It has run 110 KM till date. I can confirm the clutch is feather light and gear shifting is smooth with no jerks. May be get a second opinion from another service centre or better yet. Take a test ride if possible from a different dealership.Originally posted by Joe29 View PostIf anyone else feels there has been literally no change to the clutch lever in any aspect and it is still feather light in BS6, please do let me know, I will try asking in another service center as well to confirm. Well I have completed 52k with same clutch .
Although as bs3, bikeOriginally posted by imashish2789 View PostThank you for the info. Surely, I will get the pirellis. But confused which one. Angel CT or Diablo. Post lockdown, no shops have pirellis near to my place. Thinking to get it from Amazon.

During the current ongoing situation, I am not riding my bike frequently. Also going to my native for at least 3 months.
Any special care needs to be taken to keep the bike idle for 3 or more months.
I have the body cover & shade parking. Also, I will wash the bike, lubricate the chain, and have tire pressure at least 5psi more than what is recommended.
Any thing else which you all can share, please do.

Bangalore weather is somewhat cold now a days. Scared, what if the bike doesn't start as it still have the pathetic cold start issues.
Additionally, I want to share that I had recently serviced my bike at 16400km. Had to replace the clutch plate and it costs around 2500rs plus fresh engine oil.
With all my service records, I must say this is a high maintenance bike but not as much as duke.

Any solution let me know I have one with 52kOriginally posted by anirudhyam5 View PostI am proud owner of Apache RTR 200 for the last 3 and half years. There is a constant problem i a facing with the front disc brakes. The main problem is that it lacks bite. I have ridden nearly 45000 kilometers and time has come to change the whole front braking unit. Is there any alternative that fits perfectly with Apache RTR 200 apart from the company provided ones?

Re: TVS Apache RTR 200 4V Ownership Experience
Sir I have been using them for 10k
Nice grip for street use
Any issues with your endOriginally posted by B7ACKTHORN View PostIf you're looking for good grip, look no other than Pirellis, they are costly and they offer leech like grip. The Zapper series FS are decent ones, does duty on Pulsar and the likes and they are pretty much hard wearing. The TVS Remora the another inhouse tire, too offers Zapper-ish grip, though I haven't had a chance to encounter the way I did with Pirellis. Both the Zapper and Remora cost almost similar with a few hundred bucks difference here and there, but if you want decent life and above average performance Zapper and Remoras do the job. Steer clear of Michelin Pilot Sporty tires, they are a scary set of tires, personally I felt.
Cheers!

Re: TVS Apache RTR 200 4V Ownership Experience
Hello everyone!
I am planning to buy TVS Apache RTR 200 4V BS6 with riding modes.
I have few questions related to this bike.
I own a Dominar 400 currently but I am interested in Apache RTR 200 4V BS6.
I have few questions.
Question 1- What is it's mileage in city traffic?? Like Pune or Hyderabad. (Expecting at least 40)
Question 2- Is it suitable for solo long rides?
(around 500 kms in a day)
Question 3 - How is the pillion comfort on Highways? (If I ride for 250-300kms) Will the pillion be comfortable?
Question 4 - How's the bike's build quality?
Question 5 - How's the braking performance?
Question 6 - Are it's spares easily available?Royal Enfield Bullet Standard 350cc 1989, Bajaj Avenger 200-2009, Pulsar 200 NS 2015.

29 to 35
Question 2- Is it suitable for solo long rides?

Yes! It also depends on how capable you are. Seating position is decent compromise between sporty and upright
Question 3 - How is the pillion comfort on Highways? (If I ride for 250-300kms) Will the pillion be comfortable?
Seat is a little bit on the harder side, pillion comfort is just about adequate.
Question 4 - How's the bike's build quality?
On a scale of 1 to 5, I would rate it 4
Question 5 - How's the braking performance?
Excellent brakes and progressive.
Question 6 - Are it's spares easily available?
Yes. Over the counter spares for basic items are pretty much available.
A decent, cheap bike to own and maintain.
Cheers!

Once upon a time, a guy asked a girl 'Will you marry me?'
The girl said, 'NO!'
And the guy lived happily ever after and rode motorcycles and watched sport on a big screen TV, went fishing and surfing, and played golf a lot, and drank beer and scotch and had tons of money in the bank and left the toilet seat up and farted whenever he wanted.
THE END

The only one that I know which fits the RTR200 are the one from Bajaj/KTM bikes 1st gen Duke 200(4 holes) 42T/43T 520pitch, Pulsar 180/200/220's 36T/37T/38T/39T 520pitch. It'll be a direct swap, if you can find one where only the rear sprocket separately or else you might have to buy the full kit.Originally posted by Manash Roy View PostHi guys, anyone upgraded the rear sprocket of rtr200 with a smaller one? What is the purpose of changing the rear sprocket and does it benefit in terms of performance?Originally posted by kiran2508 View Post
