Re: TVS Apache RTR 200 4V Ownership Experience
If you are from Bengaluru try Bridgestone TVS near Rajajinagar..they had stock when I visited last time(costs around 45rs for each)... I also replaced both bleeder valves for calipers..Bajaj and other brand won't fit as thread length of bleeder valve is bit longer on RTR's.Originally posted by Vipergts07 View PostSo the Bajaj minor/major kits will work as well?

Re: TVS Apache RTR 200 4V Ownership Experience
Might be due to low quality fuel from petrol pump. Try filling in another fuel pump and check again.Originally posted by imashish2789 View Postmileage drops suddenly from 33 to 22. any idea what would be the issue?
ODO: 13000km
Any info of upgrading the instrument to the new one with bluetooth?

Did you check the engine oil level? Low oil level can also cause this problem.Originally posted by sansubr View PostHello everyone, I ride a 2018 BS4 Apache 200 RTR (carb) and from the last month, I have been noticing that the bike is struggling to reach 85 or 90 kmph.. It seems that the bike is putting in a lot more effort than it used to for reaching gear change speeds.
Is this an issue with the air filter or engine oil? I have only completed 3500 kms so far with 2 services. Oil was changed only on the 1st service. The service guy said that the oil can be changed on the 3rd service since it can last until I do 4500 kms.
I don't see any indication for service on my console either.
What could be the issue? Can you pl point me in the right direction?

Re: TVS Apache RTR 200 4V Ownership Experience
Hi folks. I own a 2010 RTR 160 Fi. After 10 years and 75000km, I have booked a White BS4 Carburettor RTR 200. After waiting for 4 months, I am told that there is no more stock of BS4 and I have a BS6 RTR 200 Fuel injection ready waiting for delivery in showroom now.
In the ownership thread 'RTR 160/Fi' I have shared in detail my bad experience with old Delphi Fuel injector which failed twice. The second time, I couldn't get replacement ECU and had to convert my bike to Carburettor at 50000kms.
That's the reason I opted for Carburettor RTR200 for reliability. But TVS Technicians assure me that unlike the old Delphi Fuel injector in old160 Fi, the RTR200 Fi is a Bosch closed loop FI which is very reliable.
What is your experience with your fuel injected RTR200? How many kilometres have you ridden so far and what were the issues you faced in fuel injection?
Kindly help.

I have a carburetted rtr 200 4v bs4 and a fuel injected big bike. And I can tell you that if it's really a Bosh system then you can buy it with your eyes closed. Though I'm only judging by the fuel delivery hardware.Originally posted by Arwin07 View PostHi folks. I own a 2010 RTR 160 Fi. Re: TVS Apache RTR 200 4V Ownership Experience
Hello,
My apache 200 bumps a lot on uneven road or near speed breakers. I even feel like its floating in air. I loose balance because of this. I checked with SVC. Response is there is no problem in the bike (like fork/suspension/tire). What could be the issue? I even changed fork oil once. Do anyone else facing similar issue?
My bike is 1 yr old and 16000 Kms distance covered. Rear tyre threads are half gone.

Sorry for the late reply. I have used both the bikes you mentioned. I used Apache 160 FI for almost 9 years, 80K+ Kms. And it is still being used by the guy I sold it off to. He spent about 12K in repairs and was very happy with it when I last met him. I never faced any problem with the Fuel Injector. I am currently using white RTR200 FI and will complete 2 years in June '20 and already clocked 20K Kms. It is a pretty good bike and I think you should opt for the FI one. I see many posts regarding the carb tuning and setting going wrong/improper. The Bike is quite smooth and gives a consistent average of 35-38KMPL. One thing I recommend is buying a chain lube and using it atleast once in 2 weeks. This should keep the bike running smooth. Also, I feel it helps if you use Speed/Power petrol. I was using only Speed most of the time and could feel the difference in the running of 160. Although I don't feel any difference with RTR200, but I still use Speed.
Let me know if you have any specific queries.

Stock bulb cost you 150 bucks or so.Originally posted by Manash Roy View PostHey guys, posting after a long time. Had a query. My bike has run around 27k kms and the headlamp conked off today. Can you guys suggest a good bulb mainly for city usage. I'm a bit tight on budget.
Thanks in advance.
