You might want to check the tyre pressure if it's same as recommended by TVS.Originally posted by lone_wolf7508 View Post

Re: TVS Apache RTR 200 4V Ownership Experience
I need to know if anyone here is having an issue with the rear suspension. It seems too stiff/hard than it was in the initial few months after I bought the bike. I purchased the bike in January 2019 and the bike has run 6700 kms. I did not ride the bike much during the rainy season and, on the first long ride after the rains I felt the suspension to be too stiff on bad roads.

I had similar issues. In my case it was like 42kmpl to 30kmpl. I retuned carb and adjusted the valve clearance.Originally posted by imashish2789 View Postmileage drops suddenly from 33 to 22. any idea what would be the issue?
ODO: 13000km
Any info of upgrading the instrument to the new one with bluetooth?

Re: TVS Apache RTR 200 4V Ownership Experience
Could you pls explain more about the stutter. Is it when the clutch is released, or more of a jerk like when chain is loose or sprocket damper is damaged, or it could be even bad fuelling due to poor quality fuel or clogged jets wherein the engine jerks at low rpm and suddenly smoothens out at certain rpm.Originally posted by Satyampalai View PostHello Guys.
I am facing a strange problem. Whenever i pull in 2 nd and 3rd gear from relatively low rpms it stutters. I guess something in engine is loose chain also stutters. It happens for a second or so but has got me worried. Also my chain slack is perfect sometimes but sometimes it's loose. Any help regarding that is appreciated. I have done 10k kms running on everything stock and motul 7100.
If the chain is tight at certain sections and loose at other, check the lubrication and always tighten the chain according to spec at the tightest section to avoid damage to sprockets. Some tight sections are normal esp in O ring chains but check for chain roller dryness, rusting and stretch. If the stretch is too much, it needs replacement.

Re: TVS Apache RTR 200 4V Ownership Experience
Hi guys,
Just had a small fall while cornering on my bike. Nothing major, few scratches to me. As for the bike, clutch lever, leg guard and strangely somehow fuel on/off knob is broken. Any inputs about these parts cost would be helpful.
Thanks

No, i have not even tried clutchless shifting.Originally posted by MotoMan View PostDo you practice clutchless shifting? Nothing wrong if proper method is used. I've seen a couple of honda unicorns with premature gearbox issues due to improper and reckless clutchless shifting.
Clutch less downshift totally damages the gearbox. I daily see a lot of guys riding with phone in the left hand, abusing the gearbox by not using the clutch. Clutch less upshifts are OK if performed above 5k rpm.
However, i have done engine breaking in few emergencies.

Re: TVS Apache RTR 200 4V Ownership Experience
Bro i always shift around 5k rpm. No problem is there if i pull from relatively higher speed and gently but if i pull from relatively low rpm and open throttle fully there it vibrates for a brief period probably half a second or so. So i don't think it's low rpm stuttering. I tried svcs in kota but they are clueless as usualOriginally posted by MotoMan View PostThe Rtr200 needs a bit of revving before upsfhiting. It is not as chuggable as a FZ or gixxer. Its torque is spread throughout the midrange and very little torque is available at low rpms.
Rev the bike upto 4k rpm every time before upshifting. Use the 1st gear at extreme low speeds. The stuttering sound you mentioned could be the engine lugging. Prolonged lugging can seriously damage your engine, so downshift to the right gear at right speed.

At what speed you’re getting the stutter feel.Originally posted by Satyampalai View PostHello Guys.

I usually shift to 2nd gear after 10 Kmph. Each gear will be shifter after every 10 kmph speed. Similarly shifting down. 1st gear up to 10. 2nd upto 20. Like that.
Check your clutch. Use clutch if you experience stutter feel. Re check your chain.
Place your bike in ground (sidestand) and check the slack then make sure you have at least 0.5 to 1 inch of slack.

Re: TVS Apache RTR 200 4V Ownership Experience
I do the exact same thing and 1&2 are load gears so this can't be caused by that at all. Though it can happen if you lug your engine in say 3 or 4th gears at 2bd gear speeds. Like I said it's just really unlucky.Originally posted by badari259 View PostI do ride in heavy traffic daily. Worst traffic conditions, where the top speed some days i can go is 30kmph. Could it be because i have to constantly change gears between 1&2 or 3 in some rare cases? If so, a scooter would be more suitable for me.

I also had the cluch plates and hub replaced recently. Is this a manufacturing defect or is this my bad luck.
