Going for R15 front brake pads would make a considerable difference? How much more did it cost?
Any suggestion for rear brake pads, too?

It costs way less. Some 140rs MRP. Lol. It's a bit sharper bite. Still not enough to be unsafe. The rear I haven't tried alternatives. Using the original spec.

Fz25 and fzs25 bs6 are coming soon by April.

This is a picture uploaded by powerdrift. They have basically changed the headlight of the fz25. And removed the fairing from fzs25! The picture here is of fzs25.
Hope they also change the pathetic instrument console.
The while color always looked good. Good thing they brought it back.

Can we fit that new headlamp to old FZ 25? Also that engine cowl looks like it can be retrofitted. Same instrument console but inverted display with black background. FZS is a new model other than Fazer 25.

110/70 R17 Front Tyre Size is absolutely perfect for fz25.
I did Bhutan Trip (from Kolkata to Kolkata) with 110/70 R17 Ceat Zoom XL Front and 140/70 R17 Ceat Zoom XL Rear Tyres.
Ceat is not grippy-est like Michelin Pilot Street or Pirelli Angel City, kind of MRF stuff but a little hard compound which is very good for Indian Off roads.
Since you are in Kolkata, and Kolkata roads are very good, you go for Michelin Pilot Street 110/70 R17 H Rated Tyres with eyes closed, they are made in Thailand products, will last around 25000km+ easily.
For more grip, Duke 390 Front tyres (Metzeller Sportec M5) or Pirelli Diablo Rosso II are also very good for clean road-grip.
For offroad, try Timsun OR Pirelli Scorpion sets.

little update on ABS retrofit i was working on my 2018 fz25. it's complete now and fully working.

Haha thanks. but to be honest, it's not really a difficult thing. because parts i used are made for FZ25 so they fit exactly like a factory fit abs. apart from 3 things (1. sensor discs because i didn't change rims, 2. abs modulator mount. 3. front brake hoses). fabrication of modulator mount was the most difficult job because i didn't want to weld anything on the frame. second difficult job was lathe work on both rims for sensor disc mount, fortunately i found a very experienced lathe guy who was also interested in this so it went well.

one thing i learned from this is, you don't need Yamaha diagnostic tool software for brake bleeding on abs versions ( although it's recommended on service manual). just do bleeding as you do on normal bikes and once it's done, go for short ride and try to brake aggressively so abs can kick in. first on front brake then rear. do it on an empty road at speeds below 30kph so in case of failure bike can be controlled easily. once this is done do brake bleeding again to remove remaining air in the system. important thing here is - always bleed front brake first. total fluid required is around 220ml.

one more thing, main ECU works with abs, we don't need to replace it. if anyone has any questions regarding ABS retrofit, you can ask me. i'll make a post with full parts list and total cost later. now i have to do my wiring mods for auxiliary lights/hazard flasher and mobile charger again

Does anyone have an opinion on bar raisers? How bad does the handling and braking get? Is there a drastic difference? Planning to order lluvia bar raisers to make my bike more comfortable

Yes the lluvia bar raisers are pretty good and fits well. Cost is on the higher end but if you are okay with it then u can go ahead. You can do it by yourself. There won't be any difference in handling and braking.
