I've tried at least 2-3 service centers, and they sell only the entire set.
They cannot force you to buy full set (although it's recommended), shoot an email to Yamaha and give them svc name that's not willing to sell sprocket separately.

Thank you for the suggestion. I've fired a complaint to Yamaha, let's see.

Will the new BS6 fuel have any impact on the BS4 or lower vehicle engines?
They have claimed that BS6 is in line with the Euro 6 emission norms and the sulphur in unleaded fuel is reduced to 10ppm from 50ppm (BS4).

Headlight looks futuristic..good design including the projector.
By any chance do you know if there are any changes in the meter console. Last I heard it has inverted lcd display..seems like they're going to keep the same basic one. Hope they include some more info like gear position and separate time and all..

Yes, it will have a inverted display console, similar to the one the current FZS model. Also, it will be coming with a side stand engine cut off feature.

              Hello xBHP,

Greeting. This is my first post here. May be it is too long to read, but kindly share your thoughts if you could help.

I ride a 1st gen FZ25. This is my first (sports) bike I bought myself. Before I used to ride my dads Hero splendor.

Have done around 18k in FZ25. Completed 3 free service & 2 paid. I feel FZ25 performance is very good in city rides, a proper street fighter. But time to time, there was always some problems. Listed it down. Please share your thoughts.

              1. The showroom I bought my bike from is now closed permanently (Crystal Auto, Kanakapura road) and I took loan through them at IDFC First for 18 months. Will this affect my warranty or anything I need to worry about? Any rider in here bought bike from this showroom?
              2. Changed my read brake pad 2 times already (1st at 4k & 2nd at 9k) & front pad once (15k). SVC guys say that it is common in these 250cc bikes. Now I see my rear brake pad is at the verge of getting worn out. This is not much of a problem and I feel this is dependent on riding style.
              3. I commute to office daily around 30kms (one way), average around 60 to 70 kmph speed. I hear engine and tappet noise after riding for 30-40 minutes. I complained it to the SVC and they say this is normal in bikes with >250cc, which I doubt. Please enlighten me.
              4. Throttle was sluggish lately during slow speeds and sometimes engines turns off when I raise the throttle in slow speed and nearly took a fall more than a couple of times.
              5. Today I felt a weird problem, was riding to my work and nearing my office I stopped for tea. After 5 minutes I started the bike, but as if there was not enough power, engines wont start and console display goes off & comes back again. Horn was working and lights were too. So I believe the battery is good. Thought there might be an air block in tank, tried opening the tank cover and after few seconds closed and tried to start again, but in vain.
              6. After leaving the bike alone for 30 minutes, when I press the self-start button, I hear clicking noise in the engine and speedometer reading are increasing from 0 to 40 as if I'm riding.

I have gone through this thread and see many riders face some problems as mine, except for which I highlighted in bold.

When I try to write a complaint online in yamaha-motor-india website, I'm unable to select my dealer as they are closed permanently now.

Any guidance or thoughts will help me.
I was planning to buy NS200 or RE, but thinking about the brand yamaha and refinement I went for fz25. Wondering whether I have made a wrong choice.Cheers,
              Deepak

^ Hi. Regarding the highlighted issue, I feel the battery is time to change. If you test it and it shows less than 9.6v on cranking, then it's gone. Mine also stock battery failed around 21k km. Similar symptoms. Went for Amaron after that and all okay. Regarding the low rpm stalling, can just increase idle rpm from external or better is to clean the throttle body and injector.

                  Hi, Thanks for the help.
How much will a new battery cost? Can i change it with any mechanic or is it recommended to go to yamaha service center?

^ yes anyone could change it. It's better if you can take the old battery to the battery shop and have them check too. Maybe take care to get original new battery. Can check online who is authorised dealer. Dont remember exact cost. Something between 2000 and 2500rs if I recall.

A weird thing, have never experienced this before. My tyre pressure keeps reducing every now and then. Got it to 33psi and wirhin a week it was at 18. Refilled this time to 40 psi and within 2 days it was at 30. The local tyre guy doesnt understand and suggests to get checked. Should I take it to SVC or some MRF SVC?

^ it's leaking :-) either valve stem, puncture or tire bead. It's a slow leak. But should come up with soap water.

Had the same problem. The air was leaking through where the rim has contact with the tyre rubber.

                              Tyre guy, 5 min job.
Basically he lowered the pressure, adjusted the tyre and re-inflated it back to normal pressure. He said that it happens sometimes, not a worry.

Or may need a valve replacement, sometimes they malfunction. Do you see a thin rod inside the valve? It can fall off if lose. Buy valves off Amazon then Tyre guy.
