      • Bought the fz25

Got the fz25 in matte Black. Pretty excited. Although I've just done 350kms on the odo the bike feels very torquey and I've managed to hit 97 while maintaining an rpm of less than 6k within city. Pillion riders do not seem to have an issue with the seat as its flat & comfy, however it's a bit high set so watch out for that and it does pull quite quickly when you accelerate, so they'd better grab on to something.

Right now doing a proper break in and limiting myself to below 4k rpm and just can't wait for the first service.

        P. S mine is a Bs4 2019 edition which I got otr for 1.56 (all accessories included).

Thanks guys for helping me out with this decision. Appreciate it.

I've looked at the following bikes before making a decision and my reasons for not going ahead with them.

Gixxer 250 - inclined pillion seat. Not comfy.
SF 250 - inclined pillion seat. Not comfy.
RE - Never been a fan of temperamental bikes.
Avenger - Too much for city. Good for tours.
        Ns/Rs 200 - high pillion seat.
Rtr 200 - high pillion seat.

So if anybodys in the market for a very practical bike alongwith the occasional grin while breezing through traffic you can't find something better than this for the money that you spend.

        Cheers

Was not happy with the stock mirrors. The field of view was small and there was considerable vibration at higher rpms. Got this new set from Apache RTR200. The field of view is much better now and doesnt look out of place. Yet to test stability at higher RPMs.Click image for larger version

Some FZ25 users report mileage of 25 and some users report mileage above 35, what is the correct mileage for daily commute?

If you ride @ proper gears and don't lug the engine/unnecessary accelerate, you can achieve 37-40kmpl within city without pillion, unless majority of riding is below 3rd gear.

I get 31-33kmpl on my daily commutes. It involves a lot of stop and go (+slowing down and turning), and riding in the first 3-4 gears.

If you manage to get good roads in your commute and lesser number of stops/slowdowns (and sensible riding), you can get around 37-40kmpl as slopegatri mentioned, or even higher. I once got 49kmpl riding with a pillion at 70-80kmph on the highway, a distance of 320kms.

Those who get around 25 either rip the bike a lot/use it almost fully in crawling traffic/have some issue in the bike.

ARAI mileage of FZ25 on zigwheel is 46kmpl and on bikewale.com its 39kmpl.
How they both can show different ARAI mileage?

depends on riding style. i've been consistently getting 35-37kmpl mileage in city commute.
                    and 40-43kmpl on highway.
the worst mileage i have gotten is 33kmpl. best i have got is 45kmpl.

Is it possible to get this in any Chennai Service centers as a separate spare?
I've tried at least 2-3 service centers, and they sell only the entire set.
