it is not on the braking surface. you could remove the disc, sand it to remove rust and paint that part with one coat primer and two coats paint. obviously, make sure you tape the braking surface prior to painting.Originally posted by sauravalwaysurs View PostThis is rust in front disc. Anybody else has developed such thing? Any special care to be taken for this?

How much did the mudguard extender cost & where can I get one from?Originally posted by slopegatri View Postalso did a little mod. - p200ns's front mudguard extension. now the oil cooler and most of the top side engine area doesn't get dirty anymore.

Is it a direct fit or needs some drilling on the stock mudguard?
Can you please post another picture, the one you posted is a bit dark.Last edited by Rajdip Saha; 07-25-2018, 09:52 AM.

Re: Yamaha FZ 25 Owners Reviews and Experiences
It is actually from pulsar 200ns, you can get it from bajaj svc/parts for 47 rupees only. it's not a direct fit, you have to drill a hole in middle so that it won't come off, i also used some double sided tape as well. i will post some pictures later.Originally posted by Rajdip Saha View PostHow much did the mudguard extender cost & where can I get one from?

Initially, you'll be a little scared of the low end torque even but once you're habituated with the bike, the bike gives you confidence to cut through dense traffic with consummate ease.

Wait till 10000km for a fully set in engine. That when the real fun starts. Follow run in instructions in the manual. Keep tire pressure clutch and chain play to spec. Makes quite a difference in handling. Enjoy your ride!Originally posted by bullfrog View PostHey guys, Big thanks. Bought a FZ25 after your feedback. In another matter, the last service found they hadn't changed the oil. They did drain it but put in old oil or old oil mixed with new oil. Quite sad. Considering I was sitting there the whole time. The bike was in a bay little away from the customer area. Luckily felt some doubt when I checked oil and found it was overfilled also. Didn't have time to go and fight them. Just bought new oil and changed it myself. Another sign was the clutch was behaving odd not smooth. Sticking and engaging roughly. All okay after the oil change. New spark plug also made big difference.
It's a beautiful bike for the money. Will last as long as serviced right. In some older engines if oil is overfilled can come out of the crankcase vent. This one doesn't vent to atmosphere from what I understand. So overfilling can cause serious trouble.

What spark plug have you used? And what's the difference you're talking about?Originally posted by Kirankarunan View PostWait till 10000km for a fully set in engine. That when the real fun starts. This is a grey area.Originally posted by Joe29 View PostWill our warranty be voided if we put any other brand of oil?... The service center here didn't even talk about warranty... They just wouldn't do it.
If you have good rapport with the SVC then they'll be happy to help with new oil(Motul or Shell).Regards,

The world ain't all sunshine and rainbows. It is a very mean and nasty place. It will beat you to your knees and keep you there permanently if you let it.

Re: Yamaha FZ 25 Owners Reviews and Experiences
There's hardly any other brand available. The forum here is split between Motul and Shell. Some like Motul and others like Shell. Some also stick to the Yamalube. If the grade matches, I think it should be good with either of them. Are you facing any issues with the factory oil?Originally posted by Vipergts07 View PostDoes the fz engine like motul or shell?Regards,

Re: Yamaha FZ 25 Owners Reviews and Experiences
The plug is recommended to replace every 15000km. Replaced with the existing brand and model. Bike is much more responsive than prior to doing this. I did the oil change and plug together. Am happy bike is dead smooth now.Originally posted by JyotishmanS View PostWhat spark plug have you used? And what's the difference you're talking about?
