I had taken test ride of initial/first batch FZ25 (not sure of the year) for a Day (70 km) and found below issues:
    1. Clutch and Throttle were too hard. Both of my wrists started paining after some time.
    2. Gear shifting is also very hard especially if you compare to butter smooth gear shifting of R15.
    3. Some weird metallic noise coming from engine above 6k rpm.
    4. Seat is also hard and becomes a bit uncomfortable after an hours ride.
Can the latest i.e. 2018 owners throw some light on above points? I know seat hardness will remain the same in the new model but are the first 3 points addressed in the new models or you guys still face these issues?
    Thanks.
    1. Throttle is not hard. Get the clutch checked. Yeah its bit hard but still normal.
    2. Adjusting the clutch and lubing the clutch pedal does help. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=ileDF6cGMIw&t=13s
    3. Manufacturing issue cant do anything about it except adjusting the tappets. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=VhiJGtd_Xig
    4. I did 3000 km trip where 1400 was non stop. I didnt find the seat uncomfortable however you can get extra cushing. Expect to get normal after some use.

Can someone tell me the cruising speed of this bike where the engine isn't stressed and we can cruise on that speed all day long
Dont worry buddy yamaha is the best Japanese motorcycle brand. Far far better than honda.

Actually he put motul 20w 50 oil in his bike, that's why the bike screwed up. Always use manufacturer recommended grade that is 10w 40 in case of yamaha.

Well we can only take his word for his face value . Well , whatever it is - I would suggest everyone to use yamalube only so that we don't void our warranties and get our bikes serviced in front of our own eyes only cause we can't trust the ASC s either .

Using wrong engine oil grade could be a problem, that too especially when u increase the hot viscosity index

Right after engine oil change, harshness and drop in acceleration is quite normal. Be worried if the same happens after 1500 kms.

Oil level check done? A 'day by day' isn't normal.

I beg to differ [emoji28] maybe for consumer purposes. But maybe both are good in their own place.
Leading moto gp champion is now Honda (of course after Yamaha has had its good time) and Ducati bikes have the best technology. (In moto GP)

The guy in this video (Cherry) he did give a tough time to his bike you can check his other videos. I have been following him as he puts fz25 videos and I was planning on buying one.. also check the comments on his video.

The problem could be with svc too he said he did 2 services in non yamaha svc and that too atleast one in Delhi if I remember (he is from Chennai). Also it is not sure if the yamaha svc guys did an honest servicing of his bike.

So i guess if you handle the bike properly it could last long.

                              .
Can you please specify what hard time he gave to the bike.

I saw the video. I don't think he is lying. But he is not being completely transparent either. He is not getting warranty claim. Why?

Also some people here claim he used other than recommended class of oil. He will have much better credibility if he disclose everything instead of just abusing service center.

Read the comments in the video and watch his other videos. He has been to many places with his bike with pillion and luggage riding for long hours without break (I donot know specifically but it seems like that)

About warranty claim, he did not do servicing in authorized yamaha svc, I gues that's why.
