Re: Yamaha FZ 25 Owners Reviews and Experiences
On a brand new bike, you can expect odd behaviour. Regarding your hard shifting thing, ensure that they adjust clutch pressure and lever play in your first service. Regarding your engine hesitation, yes the heat will effect mineral oil very fast, but once you change to SS/FS, ensure that you hit rev limiter in each gear once or twice in safe conditions.Originally posted by roadrunner10 View Post

Re: Yamaha FZ 25 Owners Reviews and Experiences
It wasn't a clutch plate failure, it was a bent clutch lever. After diagnosing a lot though, I feel there might be some misalignment in my chain-sprocket set. Will check that today and let you guys know.Originally posted by Kirankarunan View PostHi I remember you mentioning before about a clutch cable that failed or something like that which happened after a fall. To me your symptoms sound like your clutch plates are worn. Did the SC have an opinion ?

Re: Yamaha FZ 25 Owners Reviews and Experiences
Hello,
What tire pressure does everyone maintain? On the swing arm & manual it says 25F 29R. So I filled it with nitrogen of the values 27F 31R, as the technician insisted that the manufacturer recommended values are way too low. He suggested 30F 35R. But I didn’t want to go overboard.
Are the values recommended by Yamaha for regular air or nitrogen?
Can anyone shed some light?
The thing is I feel the tire pressure is way too low while riding, feels like the tire has less than 20 psi or similar, as the undulations in road gives me a very bad handling feel. Even while leaning the bike, feels like I’m gonna fall or lose grip. I did check for punctures, there weren’t any.
Thanks.

Okay, your feeling of bumpiness and lack of grip is actually due to tyre quality. Are you running on the stock MRFs? What's the kms on your current tyres?Originally posted by Narender Reddy View PostHello,

Same is recommended for honda hornet too! I also feel that it's low ,specially the rear tire pressure.Originally posted by Narender Reddy View PostHello,

ODO is 650 km & change.Originally posted by JyotishmanS View PostOkay, your feeling of bumpiness and lack of grip is actually due to tyre quality. Are you running on the stock MRFs? What's the kms on your current tyres?
Stock MRFs.
The tire pressure was fine before, but I wanted to fill in with pure nitrogen & deflated the existing air. 27F 31R is my current config.
Yes, the rear tire too. Feels like riding a bicycle with less than 10% air in it.Originally posted by #bpk View PostSame is recommended for honda hornet too! I also feel that it's low ,specially the rear tire pressure.
With my first bike (2006 Pulsar 150 UG2), back in the days of year 2006, they used to fill 35F 40R.

You'll have to check the triple tree at the SVC. Regarding handle feeling tilted, check this.Originally posted by vanp View PostBro how to check the triple tree setting and racer set condition? or should I ask the svc guys to do it? I had suffered a strong bump in the front a few months back and since then my handlebar doesn't feel straight. It feels like it is a bit forward from the left side. I complained about this at the svc and they said handlebar is bent and replaced it. It did feel a bit better than before but the issue still persists.

Maximum PSI for Stock tyres is 29 (front) and 33 (rear) (as mentioned on tyres and confirmed from MRF)Originally posted by Narender Reddy View PostHello,

I fill in 27 & 31. hope this helps.
I also got both the tyres replaced under warranty as they had developed crack on sidewalls.

Re: Yamaha FZ 25 Owners Reviews and Experiences
Thanks bro for the reply .. I will do this method .. yesterday I talked with a local mechanic and asked him to loosen the bolts and I'll do the rest as I don't have the tools .. I have noticed that at stand still .. if I put my handle bar straight and look down at where the forks are bolted to the wheel with the axle .. I can see that one side is ahead than the other .. i hope the method worksOriginally posted by JyotishmanS View PostYou'll have to check the triple tree at the SVC. Doing this will do two things. First, your valve walls will be put to maximum pressure and hence the pistons will move more freely. Second, the moving cycle parts will hit it's limits and make them more free. It is always advisable to hit rev limits now and then.

Re: Yamaha FZ 25 Owners Reviews and Experiences
Hello Everyone,
I would like to share my experience of Fz25 , I have completed 18,000 kms its 14 months old now.
I have been facing some issues in my bike, and i have always reported this problem to service center in every free service, but they completely ignored.
The problem i was facing was; that bike was stalling randomly in traffic, especially in heavy traffic , where the engine is stressed and sometimes because of this my wheel got locked and i was just about to fell from bike. Even sometimes when riding at the speed of 20 to 25kmph bike shudders and gives jerks sometimes and then it becomes normal. Service center guys checked FI system, spark plug everything was normal. And best part when they are taking trials the bike was behaving normal, so they were not able to make out whats the fault. I complained it to Yamaha , but of no use.
Then i finally took the bike to my local mechanic , he took the trial and yes this time engine stalled, mechanic said that the fuel pump is faulty. and it needs to be replaced and he advised me to get it changed from authorized service center.
I would like to ask you guys, what could be the problem, is that fuel pump or something else.
Also Yamaha service center is one of the worst in Mumbai, No trained mechanics and no Knowledge about FI systems. They don't have adequate diagnostic equipment.
Kindly someone suggest me the Service center in Mumbai.
Thanks

Re: Yamaha FZ 25 Owners Reviews and Experiences
It could be fuel pump, or it could be clutch disc, or it could be clutch cable, or it could even be chain-sprocket. Get them all checked. Have you cleaned your injector till date? Do you use good fuel? Have they done an FI diagnostic? Any other associated symptoms?Originally posted by khan7861 View PostHello Everyone,

I have Cleaned my FI just 2 months back. I always use Speed or Power fuel only.Originally posted by JyotishmanS View PostIt could be fuel pump, or it could be clutch disc, or it could be clutch cable, or it could even be chain-sprocket. Recently i am observing that at 3rd and 4th gear bike is giving more vibration at 100kmph speed.

I think you might be having a shot clutch disc for some reason. Or check if your chain is too tight/loose.Originally posted by khan7861 View PostI have Cleaned my FI just 2 months back. I always use Speed or Power fuel only.

Re: Yamaha FZ 25 Owners Reviews and Experiences
Throttle body the SC doesn't clean. Just the injector. Mine also had similar behaviour. Then I cleaned it and became perfect. You can check it yourself. If very dirty, worth cleaning. Faulty fuel pump will show up in the diagnostic I think. Check your battery also. Because each time engine cuts out and then restart can increase wear.Originally posted by khan7861 View PostI have Cleaned my FI just 2 months back. I always use Speed or Power fuel only.
