Like I said, all parts are in spec. No bends, scratches, etc.

okay .. on standstill if you place your handlebar exactly straight .. have you tried looking at the front axle where the forks are bolted .. do they look exactly parallel to each other .. just see the axle bolts on both ends .. if the forks are misaligned .. you might see the axle is not exactly straight and hence the forks wont be parallel to each other..

Have done this plenty of times. Adjusted the alignment many times. It has a mind of its own, keeps reverting.

The bike isn't pulling to one side. Nothing wrong with the rear wheel alignment.

on standstill do you feel the tilt in the handlebar or only while riding?

Can't make out anything at standstill, while riding it immediately becomes apparent.

I have a similar issue as yours .. only difference is i went into a pothole while riding and since then it feels like my handlebar is a little tilted while riding .. if I keep my bar straight during standstill .. I could see at the front axle that the forks are not 100% parallel .. i know it is very hard to fix such issues as the SVCs just reject it by saying it is in your head

I'll be trying this method in a few days as suggested by another member.. but since you have already opened and refitted the front end .. not sure if it is applicable to you:-

Tried this plenty of times. This is exactly what I tried. Didn't work on my FZ25, but it worked on my Gixxer when it went in a big pothole. Here's the link to the post - https://www.xbhp.com/talkies/showthread.php?p=1330668.

Where did you do this on your Gixxer? At the local mechanic or the svc

you mentioned you only loosened the pinch bolts on the lower tree .. what about the center bolt on the top tree and the axle bolt? you didn't loosen them? i dont have the tools to loosen the top and the axle bolt .. therefore the delay .. but I may very well try to loosen the lower tree and try this method

Didn't have the tools then. For my FZ I loosened everything. Use a ring spanner (14mm).

Also, I think you should adjust the valve clearances. After 7-8k kms, engine (tappet) noise reduces by 90% (unless out of spec).

Gearshifts are not so bad once the clutch lever play is set to 2-5mm, as mentioned by slopegatri. I've noticed that Whitefield Yamaha do not clean the front sprocket area, you may want to clean it as well.

The stock tyres suck. Masseters will improve the handling quite a bit, but the bike in general doesn't corner too well compared to the likes of the Dukes/CBR/CB. Overall handling is neutral in my opinion.
Thanks for the inputs. I am scared to give my bike for valve adjustment, as if its not done properly, it can severely affect performance. But the tappet noise at 15k kms is kind of high now even for short rides, hence I feel I will need to do it sooner than later.

I moved to Chennai recently, but no good service centers around Mahindra City as of now. Most probably will have to get it done when I visit Bangalore sometime, as Whitefield Yamaha does seem to take care of stuff I tell them to, and I always get the bike back in good shape. Front sprocket will have to be done by me sometime then.

And for now, have put the tyre change on hold. Waiting for the Gixxer 250 . It should have all the plus points this bike offers (as I feel its sole purpose/target/benchmark is the Fz25 - nothing else in the segment that can beat the Fz25 for its 'nearly' all round performance, reliability and value proposition for now) and Suzukis are inherently good handlers.

Tappet adjustment is a fairly easy job. Just find a reliable mechanic and watch Life of Pal's video on YouTube before you do it. Once adjusted correctly, the bike is an absolute dream to ride.
