Front break need minor adjustment. Take it to the service center, should be a 2 min job. Ignoring will damage your break pads and fuel efficiency.

        Exactly.

On this bike, a pilot Street/masseter should be more than enough. My friend's having a blast with the pilot Street radials.
Exactly. Also, Street Radials are incredible tyre for our daily street riding. Only downside is the cost.

I couldn't do a highway test yet, but in terms of looks, it is definitely pays back! Head turners doubled :-)

I use both pirelliand mrf masseter.
Though masseter is a great tyre but i still prefer the feel of pirelli ove them.

As for pilot street radials, never really got along with them, i anyday prefer metzeler m7 over them.
Its costly and doesnt last as long but sticks to the road as long as they last.

BTW i use these tyres on following bikes

            RTR 160 - front - mrf fy1 90/80 - 17, rear - mrf masseter 120/80 17

CBR 250R - both front and rear, pirelli sport demon in stock size

KTM RC 390 - metzeler m7 in both front and rear in stock size.

Did anyone change its tires immediately after taking the delivery? I am considering metzeler same profile for rear tire, not sure if I can get similar for front tire. Any recommendations? Also, how much can you get for stock tires exchange? I would like to change both tires immediately once I get hold of the bike.

The R3 comes with Metzelers in stock size. You might have to wait for stocks to arrive though.

The front is difficult to get in stock size. Your best bet is to get the PSDs.

Stock tires can fetch you around 1.5-2k for the rear and 1k for the front.

Need some advise guys i have two issues which worries me a lot

                  1. My bike has done 1085km and first service done couple of days ago. However i still feel vibration. When in netural there is a mild buz in handle bar however it keeps increasingly annoying as it goes above 4.5k rpm. Is there a solution to it?

                  2. Issue is with availability of spares. My handlebar was damaged at dealership. They promised to replace it under warrenty, but its been more than 2 weeks they keep saying no parts with them. Is this same across all dealership?

1- the bike will become smoother with time.
2- shoot a mail to Yamaha.

                      1. But how long is my question. 1000km and a service should be enough as i saw few viedos in youtube claiming smooth engine. Vibration on the higher end is acceptable but idle and at 4.5k rpm its annoying. Anyway will give it a few more days and few hundred km's.

                      2. Will do..thank you.

I changed mine right out of the showroom to mrf masseter. Excellent street tyre. The metzeler is probably the best tyre in terms of sheer track performance but due to its soft rubber it is very puncture prone and lasts very less. Other solid options are pirelli sport demons and Michelin pilot street radial.

Mine too had minor vibes between 4-5k rpms but after the second service at 1890 kms, it's hardly noticeable. Bike is getting smoother day by day.

Did you change both the tires or just the rear one? Which one are using on front? Same profiles as provided by Yamaha for both or different? How much did you get for older ones? I am also planning to change right after the delivery.

I feel you brother. Italians do have a certain finesse that attracts us. Also, the metzelers are a class apart. I still remember when I rode my friends 2015 rc 390 from dehradun to nainital. The tyres stuck like glue and definitely complimented the power at disposal. But I don't feel the fz25 in stock avatar warrants that class of rubber. Also, his rear tyre was done and dusted in around 8000 kilometers only and I think you know why 😁

I changed the rear tyre as the front one is surprisingly good. I have had plenty of panic braking moments unfortunately but the front has never skidded. Also, there are not many options available in the stock size of 100/80 17. I will suggest you to retain it and when it will be used up, many more options will be available, hopefully. I changed my rear tyre to mrf masseter in stock size of 140/70-17 and got 2250 for the stock one. Paid 1600 for the new one. Fitting was done free and it's a bit of a hassle due to the tyre hugger. All the best.
