Re: Yamaha FZ 25 Owners Reviews and Experiences
The front sprocket is what transmits the torque from the engine, so if only that is worn out and rear sprocket is fine, it probably implies that the chain is lose. Replacing the whole set is always suggested, however you might want to look into the chain too along with the front sprocket. Buy the whole set, keep rear sprocket at home for later replacement.Originally posted by ramdante View Post

Good to hear that its a straight fit. Might try changing the cable alone first.Originally posted by paul.1911 View PostNo need to change clutch and accelerator cable but keep clutch cable below rider seat as it has broke on me twice.
I know someone using rs200 steel braided hose for 1200 and re350 master cylinder 1850 works like a charm.

Will check the condition of the chain and then decide to replace the whole thing, if required.Originally posted by Vipergts07 View PostThe front sprocket is what transmits the torque from the engine, so if only that is worn out and rear sprocket is fine, it probably implies that the chain is lose. Re: Yamaha FZ 25 Owners Reviews and Experiences
To be honest , even the fz25 might be an overkill if you are just into commuting to work and what not.Originally posted by Kirankj1724 View PostHey Guys,
Sorry for the OT here. I'm a proud Dominar owner since 2+ years. Now I'm planning to downgrade to a FZ25 due to lack of touring off lately. The last long-ride was at least over a year ago. I'm using the Dominar for daily office commutes and the route which I take is filled with lot of traffic. Will the FZ25 be a good replacement to the current Dominar that I own?
The fz25 is great for the city. but why not the mt15 ?
you get the same ease of maneuverability in the city with the added bonus of a little more mileage

Hey guys,
I'm new to the thread so apologize if my question is repeated.
Recently got a FZ25 and am looking out for some accessories such as - Belly Pan (any alternatives to the autologue one), knuckle guards,Visor & fz250 tank stickers.
If possible do share any links or if anyone's from Mumbai do share the shops to purchase some accessories.
Thanks.

Yes. I had taken TR of MT-15 as well. It's a great machine and I felt it more smoother than the FZ-25. But coming to practicality, the rear seat is unusable. This is also an important factor for me. Coming from a Dominar, I wanted a main stand as mandatory as it helps in a big way for cleaning and maintenance purpose. I spoke to the sales team and they mentioned that MT-15 does not come with a main stand for now.
Anyways, I booked the FZ-25 on 14th May from Pacer Motors (Kalyan nagar, Bangalore) and got the delivery on 15th May. Haven't been able to spend much time, I'll probably put down my initial impressions after a week.Last edited by Kirankj1724; 05-16-2019, 12:01 PM.

Re: Yamaha FZ 25 Owners Reviews and Experiences
In fact, I found cats actually stay off from this mesh cover. I experienced hell with cat scratching off 2 different seat covers of my Suzuki Access, but no sign of cat scratches on this Mesh at all. I am gonna put this on my Fazer 25 this weekend.Originally posted by Absoluthavoc View PostThe only trouble is if you have cats around your place... They just can't resist such mesh covers

Congratulations on your purchase.Originally posted by Kirankj1724 View PostAnyways, I booked the FZ-25 on 14th May from Pacer Motors (Kalyan nagar, Bangalore) and got the delivery on 15th May. Haven't been able to spend much time, I'll probably put down my initial impressions after a week.
One advice though - avoid giving your bike to Pacer for service. Both me and Terrorbladezz purchased the bike from the same showroom, their service was horrible.
The best Yamaha ASCs in Bengaluru are Bangalore Wheels (Rajajinagar), Perfect Riders (Lalbagh Road) and Whitefield Yamaha (near forum value mall) in the same order.
The bike is stupidly simple to service, in case you're into DIY.Last edited by Shashank K R; 05-17-2019, 02:42 AM.

Hi Shashank,
This is very valuable info I was looking for. Thanks a ton.
Does any of the above mentioned service centers allow for us to stay back during service? I want to be present personally and make sure things are as it is supposed to be.

Re: Yamaha FZ 25 Owners Reviews and Experiences
Well the pacer Yamaha has something called the “AC” service center where they service the bikes in a closed environment with an AC in it to keep the dust away .Originally posted by Kirankj1724 View PostHi Shashank,

And due to this the customers aren’t allowed behind the billing area .
I forced myself to give the bike to the SVC for servicing to keep the warranty and whatnot valid .
But three services from there made me realize their quality of work and started to question myself if my bike would even last for a fourth service.
I now get my bike done at Motoden and cannot be happier.
Happy motoring

Re: Yamaha FZ 25 Owners Reviews and Experiences
So I completed 20000 kms on my fz25 today. Here's a summary of my ownership and my experience with it:
Summary:
1. Bought the bike on 9th of September, 2017 and did a proper break-in.
2. Had to change coneset at 3200 kms because of a fall in a deep pothole at 120+ kmph.
3. Changed rear tyre to Michelin Pilot Street 140/70 at 8800 kms.
4. Changed swingarm bushings, bearings and shaft at 10500 kms, although it was completely unnecessary.
5. Have changed rear brake pads thrice at 6500-7000 kms intervals.
6. Changed front brake pad and front tyre (Michelin Pilot Street 110/70) at 17200 kms.
7. Have tried Motul 7100 10w40 twice (running on it now), but I see no major difference in performance.
8. Have faced two issues, handle wobble at about 11000 kms, which went away post front tyre change, and sluggish acceleration at about 18000 kms, which was due to bad petrol.
9. Highest mileage till date, 39.7 kmpl, lowest 33.1 kmpl. Highest speed achieved, 142 kmph, twice.
10. Highest single day ride till date, 400 kms.
Experience:
The bike is a gun in city traffic, and highway traffic. Not exactly a touring bike, but 500 km in a day can be done with relative ease if you ride in the 95-105 kph range. The bike is a goat so far as climbing mountains are concerned. Engine is very refined, but you need to maintain the chain every 1000 kms at least to maintain smoothness.
Overall, my ownership has been thrilling and largely trouble free.
I rate the fz25 an 8/10.

Re: Yamaha FZ 25 Owners Reviews and Experiences
They allow the customer to watch from a "customer lounge". They however won't let the customer watch the service standing next to the mechanic/bike.Originally posted by Kirankj1724 View PostHi Shashank,

Re: Yamaha FZ 25 Owners Reviews and Experiences
There is nothing to be done on new bike except oil change. I don't let mechanic touch anything. I only got 3 free services done and only oil change. Rest all done by myself. Never visited service center again. Nothing will happen to a new bike. Don't worry, congratulations and enjoy.Originally posted by Kirankj1724 View PostHi Shashank,
