Agreed, even the v3 is pretty flimsy. But it is what it is.

Yes it definitely is. Sure a few trade offs but it's not a deal breaker. Hope you enjoy it even more.

I was not sure about upsizing the tyre because of the opinions by fellow bikers against upsizing (even though they never used the tyre [emoji19]). Stock front tyre is not good so I took the chance. It’s worth the risk bike is more stable at higher speeds, improved the braking and handling.
As I said, PSR is a country mile better than the stock. Shame it isn't available in the stock size but I am guessing the upsize isn't bad by any means.
P.S how much did it cost you?

It’s a direct fit. 1+ size from stock is perfectly ok. Around 4500 don’t remember the exact amount.

New issue. When I close the throttle there is a "tak" sound from the engine. What could be the cause?

This is usually present when we kill the engine...?

Check your chain slack and clean and lube the chain, also check the sprockets

Will do thanks. Do you think sprocket needs replacement?

Don't know about that, but check the sprocket teeths they might be worn out.

Hi just putting the part number and price of the front fork spring and dust cap.

                    Spring - B97-F3141-00 costs Rs 180 each.

Dust cap I think is common to other FZ part number 4EB-23144-00 costs Rs 205 each.

If someone wants to attempt the repair themselves, the special tool to remove the damper rod bolt is a 28mm hex on a long rod. The slide hammer for oil seal installation also is a 41 mm type both are common to FZ. Both come for around Rs 500 or so total.

All this not usually required if the fork oil is changed regularly every 10k. In Bangalore I found the springs and dust cap with Bangalore Wheels. Found them proactive and helpful to deal with.

Very helpful, my bike has just crossed 10k mark, no signs of leakage, but will change the seals when I get time. Thanks a lot Kiran 👍

                        Hi All,

Recently my bike was parked in rain. The very next day, I'm seeing fog inside the instrument cluster and I'm not able to change the modes using the button.
May be due to fog inside the instrument cluster. My bike is 7 Months old. What should be my next course of action. Yamaha Service center will replace the part or repair it?
What should I do? Please throw some lights on the same.

Should go after a little bit of sunny weather and riding.

Welcome :-) mine also nothing happened till 17k. Then the seal went. Better to change the oil and seals regularly. Also don't ride with a damaged seal as that causes the spring to go.

Thanks for the tip, I will change the seals before hitting 15k mark.

I rode the bike slowly and could hear Kar Kar noise coming from the left side of the engine. Seems that the sprocket is giving up as you said. But sprocket gone kaput at less than 15k km makes me wonder about quality of parts.
