Re: Yamaha FZ 25 Owners Reviews and Experiences
I checked this, there's no free play, seems solid.Originally posted by ashwinprakas View Post
I went for this combo seeing MadhuBLR's post. It has been quite good in the ~1700kms I've used it. Used it in very heavy rain on the highway, heavy rain in potholed roads and slushy roads. I got the 100/80 variant of the front tyre though (from Amazon).Originally posted by hemanta View PostLast edited by Shashank K R; 10-19-2018, 09:27 PM.

Has the feel of the bike improved exceptionally? Or marginal?Originally posted by Shashank K R View PostI checked this, there's no free play, seems solid.

Not much, just feels a bit more planted. However, it feels much better on wet surfaces and bad roads.Originally posted by hemanta View PostHas the feel of the bike improved exceptionally? Or marginal?
Yes, they were tight enough.Originally posted by ashwinprakas View PostAre the pinch clamps pinching tight enough?

Do update if you get an alternate for the front sprocket. And can we get a compatable 520 sprocket ser? I saw few on AliExpress but their shipping and return policies is Puli g me back from buying.Originally posted by Shashank K R View PostNever noticed this, will check it immediately.
This might be the reason, though on visual inspection it looks fine. I faced this on my Gixxer once, it was noticeable as the front tyre was not in line with the headlight assembly and the handlebar. Will check this too.
The problem is sourcing a .428 16T front sprocket, which produces gearing suited for highway cruising. We can also use a 43T rear for producing the same effect, but in this case, the chain length may be the spoilsport.
I'm planning to get a 16T sprocket of the XT250, but I'm still researching the compatibility.

Better now at corners?Originally posted by Shashank K R View PostNot much, just feels a bit more planted. However, it feels much better on wet surfaces and bad roads.
Yes, they were tight enough.
I'm wondering if I should go for masseter now

I'm not the right person to ask about corners as I'm more of a straight line guyOriginally posted by hemanta View PostBetter now at corners?

.
But I did try a little bit, they felt better than the stock (at least on a slightly wet road where it had drizzled). The stock one would slide easily in such a situation. The main improvement over the stock tyre is in the wet, on bad roads and dusty conditions. These tyres feel more compliant on bumpy roads. Plus they ride normally on those white markings whereas the stock tyres would feel skittish.
You can go for the masseter, these were cheaper so i went for them.Last edited by Shashank K R; 10-20-2018, 02:12 AM.

Re: Yamaha FZ 25 Owners Reviews and Experiences
I don't think they are, I got a good deal since the rear was 2017 July stock, and also I got 1800 for the stock tyres.Originally posted by hemanta View PostI didn't know these were cheaper
The rear one originally costed 4500 (got a discount due to old stock), while masseter costed 4100.Last edited by Shashank K R; 10-20-2018, 02:18 AM.

Re: Yamaha FZ 25 Owners Reviews and Experiences
520 might be possible, I'm checking the countershafts of the FZ and XT250 currently. But may I ask why 520? I think 428 is good enough.Originally posted by dina@ View PostDo update if you get an alternate for the front sprocket. And can we get a compatable 520 sprocket ser? Can you post a picture of the FZ25's front sprocket alone?
