Re: Yamaha FZ 25 Owners Reviews and Experiences
I went for mixture of 10w and 20w motul fork oil. Wanted to achieve a result of 15w. There is a website that calculates the volume of oils to mix to achieve a particular viscosity.Originally posted by dina@ View PostDoes anyone tried any other fork oil other than yamalube? Now my front suspension is stiffer. Better around corners as it's more stable, but worse on broken roads.

FZ25 Visor
I recently bought a Pulsar AS200 visor for my FZ25 and drilled 2 holes to align it with my old visor. But, there are still two holes on the sides which we are supposed to attach them to the screws near the forks. But, I am not too keen in disturbing the fork screws. Have any one got another idea to stabilize the visor without movement?

Shreyas.

Re: Yamaha FZ 25 Owners Reviews and Experiences
Overall I have bad experince with Yamaha FZS motobike.
I bought Yahama FZS in August 2014.
Got overall 3 service every year.
Driven 10,200 Km, mostly in city and sometime NH road.
Just after last servicing (Mid oct 2018), the bike started jerking frequently.
Taken bike to the servuice center and they said the Piston and Valveneed to change. And came to know from the mechanic that this is most common issue with FZS.
Although, I already taken extended warranty, but the service center refused to replace Piston and Valve and asking for around Rs 8,000 + Labour & Service charge.
They are showing manual and saying that you need to service your bike in every 70 days.
Honestly, it's possible for anyone to send bike for servicing in every 02 month.
The funniest part is, their system is showing only 8 service record into their system.
When I cross check with the service bill, then I came to know that 4 record was not entered by the service center on Yahama Portal. And now, Yahama customer support saying, they can't do much. I sent the service bill copy as well as proof to show them that how their system works. Now, they are asking for Service record copy screenshot. No wonder, how their portal system fails to record service record.
Thus, my suggestion is NOT to buy Yamaha FZS.
If you can buy it only if:
You can take the motorbike to the service center in every 70 days.
Make sure that all your service done are entered to the Yamaha portal.

Wrong thread, the 150cc FZ has a separate thread.Originally posted by kumarak View PostThus, my suggestion is NOT to buy Yamaha FZS.
FZ25 requires a service every 6 months.

Re: FZ25 Visor

This is what the airfilter looks like at 10k kms. Affected acceleration noticeably.
Perhaps you can use a custom clamp to connect it to the handlebar clamp.Originally posted by shreyashuilgol View PostI recently bought a Pulsar AS200 visor for my FZ25 and drilled 2 holes to align it with my old visor. Re: FZ25 Visor
It's a relatively low cost item. Easy to replace. Mine also looked similar. Chances are your fork oil and brake fluid is also dirty and need replacement earlier than recommended intervals.Originally posted by Shashank K R View PostThis is what the airfilter looks like at 10k kms. My friend complained of slight sluggishness. It was the air filter as I suspected. Luckily I had bought a spare.Originally posted by Kirankarunan View PostIt's a relatively low cost item. Fork oil I think has to be changed in his, it's bottoming out easily now. Brake fluid looks fine.

Totally normal. Don't do it though.Originally posted by rajan_coolrock00 View PostI bought fz25 recently, it has only hit 100kms on my odo. I have experienced this odd throttle response sometimes.
When I am in idle throttle and suddenly blip throttle my little amount, the response is laggy. It happens 2 out of 7 times
