Visit your area mrf service center or any experienced tyre shop.

Thanks a lot man. My FZ25 did not switch on the ignition or console. Thought it was a fuse problem and it was.

Why this problem occurred? Have you installed extra electrical accessories?

Yeah, I was fixing the auxiliary lamps and while wiring I did not join the wires properly during testing. Now it is perfect.
Used pilot lamp wiring to attach these and they are setup for low beam usage.

The elbow joints were paining due to the stretched position. So I started to look for alternatives/ modifications for the handle to make it a little more comfortable. Then after the rainy season, I came across these Handle Bar risers and ordered them. First approached the Yamaha Service Center and the guys there are not interested in trying to fit them and straight away refused saying that the cable length would not be sufficient.

Then I approached Slipstream performance guys in Pune. They did a good job in fitting them on the bike. The cables needed to be re-routed for the length to be sufficient. Now I'm enjoying the ride very much.

Since you're in Pune, would like to meet and see this mod in person. I am facing some trouble with riding posture as well and my palm-bases are hurting a lot.

                      • Worst Yamaha Experience

Unfortunately, my vehicle broke down at a traffic signal last night. Even after multiple tries, it refused to start and the console kept flickering, since it was late at night, there were no service centers open, so had to leave the vehicle on the road and take a cab home.

Today morning I had some work, so couldn't immediately call up a service center and arrange for a pickup, at around 4:30 PM I had called up Perfect Motors in Koramangala as that was the nearest, the guy on the phone told me that the technicians are busy now, so they'll come at 5 PM, waited till 5:15 PM and no one called back, so I called up again, and he said someone will come by 5:30 PM and again till 5:45 PM no one came so I decided to walk to the place myself. Turns out the showroom and the service center are located at different places and when I asked the showroom to call up the service center, he gives me the worst possible advice, suggests that instead of waiting for them to come why don't I go to some local mechanic instead!

Even after all this, I still called up the service center and he promised me that at 6:30 PM someone will come, I waited until 6:45 PM, no one turned up, so I called up the number, no one picked up again, and around 7:30 PM the security picked up and told me that everyone has left. I was left stranded on that streets for 3 hours! This is how pathetic Yamaha Service centers are!

I am not sure what do I do now? How do I take my vehicle to the service to get it checked? Is there some towing service available in Bangalore?

Hey maybe check the wiring yourself. Maybe the fuse or some connectors. The battery joints. Maybe some loose connection. Once I also happened to be stranded .but the problem was loose clutch switch that was loose after a lot of off road riding.

Try to jump start the battery or Run in 3rd gear with clutch pulled & leave when it is moving about 20kmph, it will start with a jerk, then rev a little over 4000rpm to charge the battery. I think the culprit is the battery.
P.S. Even I avoid free services in ASC in Bangalore, because they charge 80-100Rs for consumables and GST, to make the bill, pathetic Yamaha Service in Bangalore.

I have an annoying problem that's cropped up the last 500km. The engine misses and turns off sometimes. All is well once the fuel cap is opened. It used to happen occasionally when starting from parking but now happens when riding fast in the afternoon sun. It feels like it's gasping for fuel or air. Happens when the tank has close to 4 litres or less. Simple answer is keep it filled above it. But I like the extra range that this bike offers me on a full tank. Fewer trips to the bunk is welcome.

Since this has cropped up only recently, something has changed. Bike is at 12300km. I don't want to go the SVC and experiment. Otherwise excellent machine. Mileage performance all better and better. Close to Unicorn smoothness running about town at speeds 35-55. Does anyone have this as a known issue ? If yes what's the fix ?
