Its not iradium. The part number is dr8ea and there is no iradium plug in that. Was searching for equivalent iradium plugs.Originally posted by MidnightEvil Parth View PostAs far as I know it gets NGK iridium by stock.

Here's a pro tip, they don't make any real life performance improvement so save your money.Originally posted by dina@ View PostIts not iradium. The part number is dr8ea and there is no iradium plug in that. Was searching for equivalent iradium plugs.

No. They make 2-4% better fuel economy & slightly better throttle response.Originally posted by Amrit.Singh View PostHere's a pro tip, they don't make any real life performance improvement so save your money.

And probably that's why bike manufacturers use them and not the Champion Spark Plugs?Originally posted by Amrit.Singh View PostHere's a pro tip, they don't make any real life performance improvement so save your money.
No offense meant but I'd trust the millions or thousands spent by manufacturers than the pro tip.
Peace of mind and satisfaction for the soul that my bike is running on good quality stuff is something that cannot and should not be wiped off.Regards,

Re: Yamaha FZ 25 Owners Reviews and Experiences
So I thought about this a bit more and looked at it closer. I ran the bike with the cap open and it was running perfectly.Originally posted by Kirankarunan View PostI have an annoying problem that's cropped up the last 500km. The engine misses and turns off sometimes. All is well once the fuel cap is opened. It used to happen occasionally when starting from parking but now happens when riding fast in the afternoon sun. It feels like it's gasping for fuel or air. Happens when the tank has close to 4 litres or less.
Decided to try my luck and open up the fuel cap. Be careful when you do so. Cover the tank opening with a rag. The cap is crazy. Lots of passages and some kind of valve. Total 5 coil springs. Plus 2 leaf springs. They will pop out. Make sure doesn't fall into tank. There is a tiny filter like thing next to a ball bearing which also will fall out if not careful. The ball controls a valve of some sort. So I blew out the filter. Cleaned some dirt under the top cap. Put it all back together. The problem seems to have resolved :-)
Have to ride more. Only 50km done post that. But now it's running like how it was supposed to. Before like an old man running out of breath. If someone else faces this issue maybe give it a shot.Last edited by Kirankarunan; 04-23-2018, 12:17 AM.

How does changing only the spark plug increases fuel economy??Originally posted by saikatbyte View PostNo. They make 2-4% better fuel economy & slightly better throttle response.

Better combustion means better fuel burning and better performance.Originally posted by Harrisoncool View PostHow does changing only the spark plug increases fuel economy??
Overall feeling is better by the rider so less throttle wringing action - fuel used becomes less and distance travelles becomes more.Regards,

Re: Yamaha FZ 25 Owners Reviews and Experiences
I doubt if changing only the spark will have better combustion. For that to happen, engine should get right amount of air and fuel mix and the spark should be timed perfect. If all these three are not in sync, then miss fire happens resulting in poor performance of the engine. I have experienced this before, some genius in the service center replaced my old fzs's spark plug with R15's. The engine misfired a lot and the performance was extremely poor. It was sorted only after changing the spark plug to the one recomended. Iradium ones lasts little longer than copper or platinum ones, but the best advise is to stick to company recommendation.Originally posted by Akash.Yadav View PostBetter combustion means better fuel burning and better performance.

indiaspares.inOriginally posted by Sai ashish View PostGuys ! Hero motors, India, have a website for Hero Genuine Spares. I think it's a valuable addition for customer service. Is there any such website for Yamaha or other motor companies ?
But, they didn't updated their parts pricing after GST and some parts are listed with earlier price (means a little extra), and also the website is right now down for unknown reason.
I am using NGK CR8EIX (Iridium plug) in my fazer v1 2014 model since 33000km, right now it is at 49000km+. Earlier on NGK CPR8EA-9 (Nickel plug) top speed was 119, mileage 38kmpl~, & throttle response was not so urgent. Now, on Iridium plug it runs fine, 124kmph top & 40kmpl~. All you need to do is increase the Fuel Air ratio in carburetor (just turning the fuel screw slightly 10-20degrees counterclockwise) to adjust to the fueling.Originally posted by Harrisoncool View PostI doubt if changing only the spark will have better combustion. In Fi engines, it is taken care by the Oxygen Sensor, so no need to worry putting Iridium Plug.
Just you need to find the right plug, like if your standard plug is NGK CR8E, then the corresponding Iridium plug is NGK CR8EIX. And also while replacing, make sure both plug specification (from NGK website) should match (like Thread, Pitch, Reach etc.)
P.S. Hayabusa uses Iridium plugs.Regards

Re: Yamaha FZ 25 Owners Reviews and Experiences
Hello Guys!
So after a research of 1 month I finally bought FZ25 warrior white.
I have completed 200 kms so far and I love every bit of this bike. I was confused between this and RTR200. but after TD (ripping) both bikes I chose FZ.
Recently I noticed an issue with the bike like sometimes during upshift or downshift there is some powerlag or missing for just a moment and then its ok. It happens very rarely.
can you guys throw some light on this issue.
Also I'm following proper run-in according to manual.
