Wtf? Seems like your bike has been extensively abused. Change your svc and go for a fresh service with shell/motul 10w40 oil. Change air filter and also make sure your fuel pump provides clean fuel. Adulterated fuel kills the engine.

Speedo is connected to Engine, not the tires.

General Myth that we get pure nitrogen to be filled. But it is just normal air with more nitrogen ratio.
      I use 28F and 32R.

I had to change my rear tire after getting too many punctures after 10000km. The tire had plenty of tread left but too many punctures. Changed at 13500km. Ride a lot in under construction areas. So while changing the technician advised to keep the pressure higher than spec to avoid punctures. I changed to MRF Masseter at Rs 3900. The slightly higher 3psi pressure is not upsetting the bike for my riding conditions.

The masseter is an excellent tyre. Easily the best vfm tyre. Sticks like a leech and is pretty puncture resistant too. Don't worry you'll enjoy them.

i am yet to come across someone outside the svc who fills to the recommended pressure. They always pump in excess. It's worse with the local puncture wala, they mostly overfill by 10 psi easily due to their inaccurate gauges.

surprising that most svc's i've seen (different brands) filling in air seems to be their expertise and they pump in the recommended psi.

always refer to the manual and specify that value to the guy filling it, a little more upto +3psi may be ok. and remember this is tire pressure on a cold tire.. ride it even for a couple of km and you will notice it shows more due to the heat.

              As per this link

Indian Bike Tyre Sizes And Their Recommended Tyre Pressure

the recommended tyre pressure is :

              Yamaha FZ 25 100/80 R 17 140/70 R 17 TUBELESS 26 PSI (F) & 30 PSI (R)
Tyre pressure should be maintained as per tyre manufacturer's specification and not as per Bike Manufacturer.
Vehicle manufactures generally recommend lower band of PSI, so that you feel comfortable while riding.

PSI also depends (- / +) on Hot or cold weather conditions and load on your bike.

                  Hi Shamanth,
Could you please post the pic of your bike with skid plate and tank pad. My service center says there is no skid plate available from yamaha. Also please let me know if that skid plates helps to keep your feet dry from rain water which is backsplashed from front tyre.
                  Thanks in advance

Is there any way to avoid water spillage from the front and rear tyre to the rider and pillion? It's monsoon here and the mud and water spillage from roads is very high. It sometimes reaches the rider from rear wheel when riding solo.

Is engine backfire on FI bikes during deceleration is normal, mine does a short backfire. Also the vibrations in handle, i have used an RTR 160 earlier and I am comparing the vibrations with that bike, how can I know if the vibrations in FZ25 are more than normal.

I have followed all the break in methods and never abused the bike, nobody used the bike other than me. I also took the bike after first service to 108 kmph and that is the highest I have ridden the yet.
                      Please help.

Get a cheap rubber flap from your local bike spares stores and stick it under the front and the rear fenders with a generous amount of FeviKwik. Worked quite well for me during the last monsoon, and it is still going strong.

Skid plate only saves bikes under exhaust from scrape during ride with pillion.it doesn't give protection against water splash

Ride another fz25 (maybe test ride at showroom) and check. sometimes a little 'phat' sound or backfire might occur if you ride slow and abruptly close throttle, would have to check the bike to know it's normal or something wrong. you could maybe try and fuel up from a different petrol pump and observe.

and recently a friends bike went in for a starter clutch replacement (10k on odo), they are doing it under warranty even though he is the second owner. anybody here had this issue?

That's not true. The tire pressure printed on the tire is the 'max' limit specified by the tire manufacturer. the same tire might do duties on different vehicles.

The bike/car manufacturer specifies what might be different from that (usually lower) and that is what one should be following.
And remember all tire pressure figures are on a cold tire. So say you pump it to 30psi on a cold tire, and ride it for a few km and check again, it might show 32-34 psi.

So stick to the bike manufacturer spec and do not exceed what is printed on the tire.

Hi I've asked this once but got no replies but this coin rattling noise issue is bugging me to hell. My bike has just run 700km when it started and now after 1st service and 1500kms it still persists and only has increased IMO. I've asked the service guys and they just ignored it saying that it's there due to the engine. I honestly loved the first 700 kms on the bike and now I'm starting to regret my decision of buying. Can someone please help me?

I learnt to live with it. At 8k kms I experimented with different engine oils and the sound was gone
