Re: Yamaha FZ 25 Owners Reviews and Experiences
I dont think changing in oil/fuel increases the performance... in my view yama lube is more than enough to get the performance expected out of this bike. If exchanging oil does improve performance, then it should be because the piston is working beyond the limit and it will not help the engine in future.Originally posted by ankursurothia View Post

Re: Yamaha FZ 25 Owners Reviews and Experiences
To be frank, with the correct technique, the bike's a monster in corners. I mean, i am not talking about Rossi like cornering, but then, i have done almost a 90 kph in the twisties of Meghalaya.Originally posted by MidnightEvil Parth View PostThis bike is not a corner craver. Please ride safe. You need higher end power on entry and exit corners and lower band on the apex reach point.
You also need better tyres (fz25 tyres are good) and a sorted chassis for cornering. Wouldn't recommend trying to do hyper cornering on this one. The nose dives and the bar is light. Be aware of this. Cheers !

How is piston supposed to go beyond its limit in a stock motor?Originally posted by Harrisoncool View PostI dont think changing in oil/fuel increases the performance... in my view yama lube is more than enough to get the performance expected out of this bike. Different oil does help, it doesn't increase the power or anything but protects the engine against wear and tear and extreme heat.

Re: Yamaha FZ 25 Owners Reviews and Experiences
Ever since the begining of this year, started to look out for options to upgrade my current 8 year old fzs. I delayed my decision but my bike decided that its time. Service center made it clear its due for an engine over haul and it would empty my pocket upto 16,000 . And thus decided to switch.
Now i have few concerns that already experienced can clear head off.
1. My touring is limited to once in three months event, generally at about 1500 kms for a round trip. FZ25's cruising speed is at 6000 rpm, will that impact engine on a longer run?
2. How comfortable is it for a long ride?
3. I know the led's are good for city but is it enough on the highways?.
Other option i have in mind is Dominar 400. But i am not sure if its worth the money for city use.
Please advise. Thanks in advance.

Welcome to the boards Mr. Madhav. Indeed glad to have strokers on the forum with years of riding experience. FZ 250 would be perfect upgrade for you, decently built, and has good low end and midrange torque, overall driveability is very predictable and practical. But, I'd definitely suggest you to to take test drive, which should seal a yes or a no decision. Also do take a test drive with your loved ones, if you plan on going on long trips so that would give you an overall feel as to how they feel.Originally posted by Sai Madhav View PostHello Everyone,

Would also take the liberty to mention, to invest a little more a decent set of riding gears, especially a proper fitting helmet, gloves and a jacket.
Cheers!

Once upon a time, a guy asked a girl 'Will you marry me?'
The girl said, 'NO!'
And the guy lived happily ever after and rode motorcycles and watched sport on a big screen TV, went fishing and surfing, and played golf a lot, and drank beer and scotch and had tons of money in the bank and left the toilet seat up and farted whenever he wanted.
THE END

Hi,
Thanks for the warm welcome Bro,
Will be taking the test ride some time this month... However to be honest with with you... the Actual/MAX purchase date will take another 6 to 8 months to finalize as I have to wait for a lot of things to happen...
Keeping my fingers crossed for the same to happen ASAP...
Regards,
Sai Madhav

Re: Yamaha FZ 25 Owners Reviews and Experiences
Hi!
I'm a delhi based rider who's finding it difficult to get accepted in any decent riding group. Is our Fz25 realy that bad?
Also, for some reason there are many riding groups that solely take rider that have a particular bike or company and it's well known that ktm and RE have many defined groups. But the case with Yamaha is not the same.
So my main issue is can someone suggest a decent Riding Group based in delhi that accepts FZ riders.
If not, why don't we start our own riding group which solely consist of FZ25 rider and have weekly Rider in and out of the city.

I'm in. Would love a riding group. My friends who own bikes aren't bikers, just people who happen to own a bike.Originally posted by vishaldiwan396 View PostHi!

Why do you need a rider group? Travel solo, or travel with your close friends/brothers. And regarding fz25 being bad, i think it is THE best bike in India right now.Originally posted by vishaldiwan396 View PostHi!
