Only recently I fitted them and only after that I got those sounds, so my first doubt was very obvious and found out that the culprit was the same crash guard. I found a small mark on the front mudguard too.
Trying to fix it soon trough some engineering work .

Hi,
I am looking for the following modifications for the FZ25:
1. A more upright handlebar. Anyone tried it? I want an upright sitting position during long rides. Also following custom changes "maybe" required - Longer front brake line/pipe, longer accelerator cable with TPS. Which ones will fit?
2. Wind screen

Has anyone done these changes on the FZ25?

Booked White colour. Will take Tomorrow. Looks like Official crash guard i.e. Leg Protector(What we call them here) has issues.

So should I ask them not to install those.
If that what type of Guard should I get?
Where I would get those. As I see them necessary for safety.

Also I want to install Skid plate, Sari Guard of old Fz &

Got my FZ service done at 720 odo. Paid 750 for Yamalube FS oil, oil filter 167 and chain cleaning lubing 250. Also got the crash guard fitted.

What kind of issue? I didn't heard any kind of issue. The only issue i heard is some of the dealers can't provide. It took 22 days for my crash guard to arrive.

The fitting of it is bit difficult as there are no mounting holes at the bottom. Instead guard came with two clumps which was used.

Its not a big issue. Only happens when you go into a pot hole or speedbreaker at speed.
You can get it fitted as per your requirement.

Is your leg guard is fitted at only one bolt given on the frame near racer? I think the two clumps which came with is not used in your case. I have no problem, its well fitted. Here is the pic, clicked in the dark

But these clumps are difficult to fit. Frame was scratched by mech [emoji29]

Those gaps were not manufacturing fault but fitting fault by mechanic at the dealers, i don't know why they open, something related to battery, just to check serial number - a guess. My too had gap i saw after a week of delivery. I then opened the panel and fitted correctly.

For ease of access, I removed the below section from rear.

Used existing rubber mounts from stock indicators as the LED mount was not wide enough to fit on to the frame.
LED indicators came with shorter length than the required. So had to do some patch work with spare wires that was already there with me.

It took more time than expected for first one as I had to do various checks. First indicator took almost 45 Mins, but rest three I could fit in 15 mins.

Looks good and kind of disappear into the body work. Bright enough for day light. Best part is, I can adjust the angle when ever required.

You could try black washer nuts on both sides to fit them exactly as they are.

Saw a video on YouTube . We can install AS200 windshield for FZ25 . But we have to drill holes in required place

Got my seat covers and tank cover for practical daily usage.

Seat cover with 1" foam and tightly sewn so that original shape of seat is not compromised.

Tank cover custom made for my bike with huge storage for usage with Velcro to make it look neat and doesn't loose shape with time.

Seat cover and tank cover total cost Rs. 840/-

Please give your suggestions and comments.

Trust me, they look much better in flesh.
As far as my DIYs are concerned, I like to use what ever items that are available with me and don't like to purchase any new unless it completely stops the work.

The tank cover looks very usable. Doesn't spoil the looks as well. Kudos mate! Btw, where did you get it done? Gp road or Pudupet or where?
I went to GP road last week and was able to fit only the seat covers. No crash guard, ready fit tank cover, and ladies footrest were available. Was directed to a shop in Pudupet for custom jobs but decided to wait hoping the accessories will be available. Looks like custom fit is the way to go. Once again the seat cover and tank cover look good!

Top lining works, Perambur. Had to give order and wait for one day to get it stitched, if you are planning to come here, let me know. I think it's always better to go to small shops for custom made ones.

As I was in love with the dominar this was the first choice for Test Ride. I called Sai Service Bajaj, Pune and they said Test Ride is available. I took my friend along with me arrived at Bajaj Showroom for test ride. I test ridden the bike and it felt very easy handling in traffic. The Power delivery felt linear, There was slight harshness while shifting gears. Don't get a chance to experience it's Headlights as it was sunny outside. My friend also ridden the bike and find it to be a bit harsh and not as refined as his CBR250. We take the quote for the bike and it was 1.8 lac on Road in Pune for ABS version. Then we headed to KTM Showroom to see the Dukes. The Duke showroom has only Duke 200 on display and he said It is not available for test ride. From there we headed to Yamaha Showroom. There we rode the FZ 25. The engine feeled real smooth and this FZ has that power and acceleration which the previous generation FZ lacks.

But still I was in dilemma between the D400 and FZ 25. The D400 has ABS and Liquid Cooling ove FZ, on other hand the FZ was smooth, reliable and around 40-45K lighter on Pocket than the D400.I decided to go with FZ 25 Black. On D400 my choice of color was white but for FZ it was Black. Black color has minimum graphics, looks muscular. On 19th June I gone to showroom selected the bike, Checked it for any gaps or scratches on the bike, transfered all the amount. In Pune it costed me 1.38K On-Road with Extended Warranty and Leg Guard which costed Rs.890. The bike was Ready for delivery but I told them that I would take the delivery on 22 June. On the day of delivery the bike was ready. I again inspected it, Checked all the electronics were working or not, and finally took her Home.

650 KM on ODO. Mostly ridden the bike to office, 60 km daily. Done one short ride of 100km. The bike was a joy to ride. Bike can easily touch 65km/hr @4000 RPM. Mostly riding at this speed. Got an average of 43km/lit which mainly include Highway Riding. Gear Shifts smoothly at around 4500 RPM. Finding a Neutral is very easy can Neutral the bike in running also. Front Disc Brake is from Bybre from previous FZ. Whole the rear disc brake is from NISSIN which comes with R15. Braking is good but ABS will be missed, Hope they will introduce In future. Fuel cap is also borrowed from R15.The rear Yamaha Logo came off in rain, luckily is was stuck to the near tail lamp due to water. Not expecting this from Yamaha in the first week itself. Fixed it with Rs.5 feviQuick. But Yamaha should take care of these little things. There was sound when The front wheel goes over any speedbreaker or pot hole at Moderate speeds. At very low speed the sound was not present, But at above 20-25 km/hr The Thud sound is there. Anyone experience the same? Please comment.
